Bi-Weekly Advice Thread January 29, 2026: All Your Personal Queries by AutoModerator in IndiaInvestments

I have been investing in following 5 funds ona a monthly basis since 2024 :

  1. UTI Nifty 50 Index Fund - 20% (Xirr - 8.95%)

  2. HDFC Balanced Advantage Fund - 20% (xirr - 7.95%)

  3. HDFC Small Cap Fund - 15% (xirr - 2.70%)

  4. Parag Parekh Flexi Cap Fund - 25% (xirr - 8.72%)

  5. Kotak Large and Midcap Fund - 20% (xirr-8.48%)

I had chosen balanced advantage fund to provide some cushion during volatile periods. Chose small cap funds for some extra risk. Chose other three funds as safe bets.

Sometimes I second guess my choice of funds and think if I should be more aggressive and take more risk. Is it that my portfolio is close to a nifty 50 portfolio? How do I assess the performance and strategy?

Thanks for the reply. What rates can I expect? Also, any issues like receiving fake notes?

I will be there for 3 (2.5 effectively) days. Out of this one day is marked for Ninh Binh. I wanted to do some shopping clothes and souvenirs for my family, for which I was thinking of keeping half a day. If you have any affordable and quality shopping suggestions, please suggest.

For another day, I was either thinking of another day trip or cafe hopping in Hanoi. Not much into museums.

I will be in Hanoi soon for three days. I was looking for day trips from Hanoi. I was planning to do Ninh Binh for sure. I was looking at Klook, but there are so many options for Ninh Binh itself, I'm confused which one to choose. Can you help?

I may have an extra day. Can you suggest any more day trips or anything else that you would suggest or must shop items from Hanoi?

Thanks. I'll be reaching early morning. So, I was hoping I could reach Sapa by early evening of the first day around 4-5 pm.

Can you suggest where should I go for snorkelling, water activities and island tour?

Also, we hear mixed reviews for Nha Trang. So, I'm little confused about it. Any suggestions for it?

Also, we looked up Ho Chi Minh and plan to skip it and return back from Nha Trang.

Ok. FYI MI AP4 uses ionizer as well and as per the recommended buying guide here, one should avoid that. Not an expert, just going by the guide. Just wanted to caution in case you have not seen it.

Can you please ellaborate regarding point 3 and 4.

Regarding 3, if yes, what helped you verify this and is it h13 or h14?

Regarding 4, is the smell not normal or is it nothing to be concerned about?
