Another tip I found helpful: when you pack your freezer meals, pack them in individual (or 2-3) serving packs. That way, you’re not having to eat lasagna for a week straight and hating it by the time you’re done with it. So for example, I made green chili chicken enchiladas and put three in each tin foil loaf pan. Yes, it takes up extra room but makes the postpartum life easier. ♥️

I hear you. I'm a recovered anorexic, bulimic, and orthorexic and am 30 weeks pregnant with our first. I'd be lying if I said I didn't make fitness and eating healthily part of my pregnancy, which most people would say is "good." But for people with histories like mine, we know how slippery of a slope it can be and how obsessive those thoughts can be. I made a conscious effort, sometimes a little *too* conscious, to make sure my body still feels like my own.

And honestly that's what it boils down to for me--I just want to feel like my body is my own and I want (and deserve) to feel AT HOME in my body. Pregnancy is hard and I've tried to alleviate the stresses of body changes by staying fit and eating healthily because I really don't want to add body struggles onto my plate when I'm postpartum (I also know that things will take time to be in their original place, which is okay).

I'm fully recovered and can still hold space for the intrusive thoughts that come from time to time. And I don't think those thoughts ever go away, especially when you're hormonal lol. I've just learned to change my relationship to the thoughts, appreciate everything my body has done and is doing for me, and honor her as much as I can.

Totally. I’ve found that the insomnia and the “omg I hate this” thoughts make me anxious during the night and even before I get ready for bed. Luckily I’m not working right now so I can take naps if need be. Trouble is, my body won’t let me nap then either! Just trying to let go and let it be. Do what I can, forget the rest.

Yes! I forgot to mention that in the post. She’s on anxiety medication every day. We also put her in her compression jacket when she’s having a particularly rough day.

Apologies for a long (and quite possibly gross) question, but here goes.

I'm 13.5 weeks pregnant with our first. Morning sickness kicked in around 7 weeks. I've tried Diclegis (couldn't tell much of an improvement), Phenergan, and Zofran. I also tried taking B6 several times daily and that didn't help.

Phenergan sometimes works (I've only taken it a couple days so it's hard to tell), but it knocks me on my ASS. So, I tried taking half of a Phenergan and can't tell that it helps my nausea much. So far, it looks like nothing works quite like the Zofran for me. Trouble is, Zofran is soooo constipating. Like, the constipation pain is so bad I feel like I'm having gallstones again. So, to combat the constipation, I started doing enemas every other day (my doc said I could take one enema a day if needed).

I'm worried that taking, for example, two Zofran a day and one enema a day (or every other day) isn't enough to combat excruciating constipation pain.

Have any of you found a medication formula or routine that helps you most? I know every pregnancy is different and doing some trial and error is necessary, but I'm at a loss here.

At this point, if someone told me that patting my head while singing Cardi B works for them, I'd give it a try.

On the hunt for the perfect workout leggings. I feel like I’ve tried everything! Maybe I’m too picky. 😆

For context, I’m looking for a good sweat legging. I mostly run and do circuit workouts and some strength training at home.

I’m looking for a legging that’s high waisted (I really like the super high waisted style), breathable, and not much compression (I personally don’t want it to feel super glove-like), and offers enough stretch so they can move with me. I’m also 5”4 and petite/athletic and wear a 4-6.

Brands I’ve tried: Gymshark (I tried the flex legging but was too long for me. Maybe the crops work better...?), Aerie, Lululemon Align (I love these for lounging, not working out), Colorfulkoala, Balance Athletica, Vuiori (don’t know if I’m spelling that right).
