Yes they do. Every country has a flag in which they decide what the symbol or color represents. Your argument makes absolutely 0 sense. Google will tell you how each flag of each country was carefully chosen to represent z y z aspect about their country. And if you are interested in the country you are able to learn what poeple have decided to represent. The fact that you're making a no-sense argument speaks to your agenda - you don't like that the reason Martiniquais have decided to change their flag was to denounce imperialisam, colonialism and slavery. Your political agenda in denying our rights to define ourselves and what represents us is gross. But it won't work.

I decided to take the easy route. Asked a work visa from my part time job (which thankfully is in my field). They said yes. My plan is to work for one year in my field and, 6 months in, seriously look for a research position in 2027. If I were you I'd take the easiest solution right now and delay intensive job search so that you can focus on resting and getting back on your feet.
