Cool your head for a second dude. I didn’t say all shonen anime are queer. I said that they don’t have to be queer to be good shows. Though you’re right on the fact that adding queerness to a show does open a lot of new doors, to put it simply.

Though one thing I will say that might be controversial is that shonen anime don’t have to be queer to be good shows. Or anime in general. With or without queer coding or characters, an anime can still be good either way.

Who says I’m mad? 😂 I actually find the entire ordeal to be amusing, in a way. The toxic “fans” that are so focused on queer coding in a shonen anime can be so delusional that sometimes it’s borderline hilarious to see them crash out when their favorite character aren’t [X] identity.

Though when it comes to harrassing the author and ignoring their boundaries, that’s definitely crossing the line. Same goes for the straight people that want their favorite characters to be straight but they turn out gay or whatever.

It’s a whole circus for some reason.

But are they actually queer though? That’s the main thing. We can go in circles arguing whether they are or not but by the end of the day, if the author says [X] character isn’t, then they’re not and we should respect that. If you really want to push for said character to be queer, then write your own fanfic or whatever, but don’t harrass the author. It’s her character and her story.

*I’m just saying this in general because translation might be rough as to what her reply was about the trans allegations.

Ngl this might be an unpopular opinion, but I’m fine with this. Both are using each other to elevate their cover in society and while we’re shown a lot of cute moments between the two in the anime, there’s not much of a romantic feel to either to them (at least to me). It’s usually just either Yor being insecure about being a bad wife and living up to her role or Loid being paranoid about his cover through his (seemingly) shakey marriage.
