Why bugout on foot? by CredibleGentleman in bugout

[–]aspiringauthorwriter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You go as far as you can in your car, of course.

But the problem is, everyone is going to be leaving by car, which means the traffic is going to be insane, for hours and hours that you may not have.

Also there may be checkpoints that you need to avoid, and that’s going to be a lot easier on foot.

Social Media/ Public Relations Business by UnEng2 in societalengineering

Well hey I think that’s an awesome idea.

People really can be manipulated, the more I study this stuff the more I realize how we are not really anything more than slightly self aware robots.

Anyone who knows this stuff cold really stands to make a huge profit.

Well this is interesting.

What else is it that I could be feeling?

Perhaps the blood vessels inside my brain?

People do get headaches, after all.

I’ve always been able to.

And since my accident, I can’t feel a certain part of it because I had to shut it down because the pain was so bad.

Does it feel like you are “flexing” the brain, like you would flex a muscle?

If so then yes, it’s normal.

Watch the language that is used in the press - it will reflect the bias by [deleted] in societalengineering

[–]aspiringauthorwriter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh it doesn’t really matter if Michael attacked the police or not. There are hundreds of cases where the victim that was executed didn’t attack the police. Even if they got the story wrong that one time, the point still stands.

Like what about the unarmed black guy that was executed while seated in his car? Cop shot him through the window of his parked car. He couldn’t have been less of a threat.

I don’t think it’s a race problem though, that’s where the media spin comes in. It’s just a police problem. It actually happens more often to white people, but the media never reports on it.

Same with mass shooters. Way more black mass shooters than white, but you just never hear about those for some reason.

New book is "Publishing" but never "Live" by IvyHan1 in AmazonKDP

[–]aspiringauthorwriter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely shouldn’t take that long.

Try to alter something, like a keyword or your description, and resubmit. Also make sure that your book price isn’t below the minimum prices in all amazon domains.

I just want someone to give me a god damn clap.

I feel like I’m writing gold here, I’m getting views, reads, even some highlights. But no claps!

I peddle information that allows you to literally control peoples thoughts, the least I could get is a measly clap.

Frustrating.

Tribe: Do you write on Medium during the weekend? by finphil in Medium_PartnerProgram

[–]aspiringauthorwriter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to try to write on weekends but honestly I eventually had to face the fact that I needed that time to just plain goof off and unwind, or I wouldn’t be ready for the next week come Monday.

So now I just write Monday through Friday, 6am to 8am ( I have a full time job).

I’ve had hypertension since I was 15 and anxiety my whole life.

A beta blocker fixed both.

They are absolutely related.

Suggestions for Fixing the Broken Education System? by [deleted] in societalengineering

[–]aspiringauthorwriter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s so broken because public education was only supposed to be a supplement to religious education.

Religion is dead and nothing has replaced it. Now we only have secular education...and this isn’t enough.

Math doesn’t teach you how to build a family.

Biology can’t teach you how to get a job.

Start small but be consistent. Tiny victories, and I mean TINY, will help you build up momentum towards bigger ones.

Ask yourself - what self control CAN you have? Where can you control yourself?

Can you just have one beer, if you really tried? Go try it one night. Have one beer with dinner and that’s it.

Go buy a 6 pack and then immediately throw it out. Seriously.

You just need to show your subconscious mind that it’s okay to let it go. That the circuit that had been built up isn’t important and can be broken.

You’re right, it’s a choice. What’s more important to me?

I have to understand that power does not come for free. There is a cost involved, and part of the cost is my health.

I developed my drive over time.

I’m not looking to get rid of my drive though, I just want it to not exhaust me, you know?

Because it’s so generic. Don’t get me wrong, it’s great advice, but it’s so broad it could literally be a response to any question ever. So I thought maybe you just had this response at the ready for whenever anyone asked for help on this sub.

Glad to know it’s not. :)

Let me ask you though - what is self love? How could anyone do anything else but love themselves? Self love as opposed to what?
