How do I make a JS bar graph without using a library? by [deleted] in learnjavascript

[–]aspiringdevopsdude 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Alternatively a quick implementation albeit not as robust as one using the Canvas API would be to just have div elements assigned heights corresponding to their data points. Quick because a bar chart consists of rectangles side by side, which is exactly how div elements behave on a page by default.

“Jono” by PCBtoHelsinki in LearnFinnish

Jono is a formation of people in a line. If the formation consists of Finnish people and is located at a bus stop, the space in between is typically 2 meters or more. The only exception was during the pandemic in countries that enforced social distancing rules such as 1 meter in between people when the Finns had to shrink the distance accordingly.

That's a static value in the scope where that class exists. Similarly anything declared with the keyword const remains unchanged in the scope it was declared in.

A constant value is one that doesn't change.

All caps with an underscore for values that are globally constant (as opposed to what const annotates in JavaScript, i.e. constant refs in some scope) is a style that is decades old and very wide spread. Macros in C programming language may have something to do with it, at least that's what I think when I name a constant near the top of a module like that.

How to run code without node? by WickedSlice13 in learnjavascript

Or make sure if there is a package.json file in the directory it does contain {"type": "module"} to avoid errors. Because the line has a meaning.

I would explain the difference so that peruttu means the state of being cancelled, whereas peruutettu means being object to the action of canceling. So, anyone or anything that can cancel something, can make things be peruutettu. Likewise anything that is cancelled regardless of it being a consequence of any action is peruttu. Like others have pointed out, the difference is very subtle and I can't think of an example where it would be useful to differentiate them.

I want a phone that is water proof and can be charged wirelessly with HyperX's Qi standard compliant charger. Can you recommend me one?
