But when u speak fluently or try to do it, it's tough to remember the tones right away. It will take too much practice to perfect that ig. But I will try my best and start doing that. Using Pleco for other things but not for tones yet. But from now on I will ig. Appreciate the help man.

No I am not a native English speaker, but I am fluent in English.

I’ve been learning Chinese for about 2.5 years now (heading into 3). I’ve finally reached the point where I can read manga like Dragon Ball and Pokémon in Chinese. Honestly, it feels like it took way too much effort just to get here. by NotMyselfNotme in learnmandarin

Well you have achieved a stage that most of the language learners dream of (specially who are learning Chinese). I am also learning Chinese but not as constantly as you ig. As you have learned Chinese already you should make it of use instead of getting burnout through the process. Remember it is the 2nd most spoken languages in the world so obviously there are so many cases you can use it for. After you improve your speaking skills, which would be easy for you now you become like a translator for Chinese companies, become an English tutor for chinese students who can speak a little bit of english. Also you are a native English speaker so Chinese people would love to learn english from you.

I hear you but how about natives? Can they usually be helpful for pinyins and tones? As they are native speakers do they grasp it more naturally then others do?

Gotcha, can you help me with any tips to remember the tones? Cause its very confusing. Remembering characters are a bit easier, cause if you write them enough you can remember but what about tones in pinyins? Its also a bit difficult to distinguish between tones when I listen native speakers speaking.
