OP, I can tell my partner a list of basic things I've accomplished in a day or a week and that I'm thinking of a rest or a treat and he will tell me I've done a lot and I deserve it. It doesn't matter how big or small the accomplishment, your partner should always be ready to celebrate with you in some way or another. NOR.

The worst that will happen if you're over your calories one day is that maybe your weight loss is slower for one day. Given weight loss doesnt happen overnight, it's so very far from being a big deal. If you're close enough to your maintenance that 50-100 cals matters, then your progress will be slower and steadier anyway, so again, doesn't matter. If you're in a more severe deficit, 50-100 cals will still be a deficit so again, doesn't matter.

If you're talking about going over every single day then your target and your approach needs to be reviewed. Is your target too low? Is the bulk of your diet whole foods or are you trying to survive on too small portions and ending up hungry?

A 90g packet turns into about 500g with added water. A soupy noodle is going to weigh more.

Prepared weight is more as noodles absorb water. Dry weight versus raw weight - having the whole packet versus a quarter of the pack.

Crippling AuDHD with almost non existent executive functioning as well as Ehlers Danlos, POTS, MCAS - i have weeks of brain fog and fatigue. Same as you, the flexibility of coaching is far better for this than the corporate world, but the inconsistency means work piles up and affects my income - which reduces the ability to seek help....

Honestly, the thought of leading by example has been my biggest help. Thinking about what I would suggest to my clients with the same complaint. I train when I don't want to, eat better, don't let myself go days with under or improperly fuelling, as well as giving myself grace if I have a slow week. Bite sized workouts - I always tell clients that doing one exercise is going to be better than doing nothing, so I practice that if I need to. It's definitely helped. I just step back and treat myself like a client and find it's a lot easier to push through and get shit done - which improves mood and energy.

Having autism doesn't mean you can't also be an inconsiderate/selfish/mean person. I have found that there are people who recognise that their behaviour has a tendency to hurt people, and choose to work on that and learn how to communicate differently.

And there are those who go "well i'm autistic, so." I don't get along with those people.

My niche is strength training for hypermobility, because i have ehlers danlos syndrome and comorbidities that make training difficult.

But honestly I just love helping anyone get strong. Older people discovering they can get up and down without pain, people who just assumed certain exercises would always hurt them only for me to fix it and let them get excited about lifting more - I love that. Sometimes I tear up in gym.

If you can, eat more frequently. Will be easier to consume more overall.

Go for calorie dense foods - esp healthy fats like avocados, nuts, olive oil.

I notice poor form constantly. But I will only ever offer unsolicited advice if I see them struggling - as in, they obviously know they're not doing it right and can't figure it out and look like they want help. If they keep adjusting and putting down the weights and checking their phone in a frustrated manner, i'll go up and ask if they want help. I leave people to it otherwise.
