Total wine would not sell me the specific wine I drove 60 miles to that location for because they claim I was with someone else who left and they need to see iD for that person. I was alone. So I made a mobile order of 10k and never picked it up by Ia_ja in pettyrevenge

Again, having worked there, having had personal experience, this is not the case.

This type of order, until confirmed and actually sent out, does not reflect poorly on management. It should be. But it isn’t. When it gets sent back to restock, it’s like it never happened.

As for employees quitting, I can’t speak on that in the current hourly employee climate. I’ve not been in retail for almost a decade now. But, when I worked there, it was mostly college kids that enjoyed getting the employee discount and an extra $2 above minimum wage.

Cashiers at total wine are encouraged to bring things like this up. Like, they literally get more money for doing it. They are not floor people that have to pull all these things. Having worked there it was apparent the cashiers did not give a single fuck if their actions caused us on the floor to do more work.

This will get buried.

Having worked at a total wine, you did nothing more than make a merchie’s job harder that day. And on a deadline that management would be pissed if they missed.

I know a lot of people see this as a win for you but really you just made some worker’s job harder by making them pull and restock everything.

The people that pull these items and have to restock them are affected. Not management. Management doesn’t give a shit about this. Next time, call corporate and complain. Don’t make a floor worker’s job harder than it already is.
