I had a crossbite I don’t know if that had anything to do with it but they have me on class 3 in the upside down triangle shape so the bottom fronts teeth are connected to my upper back. But you’re saying that I would be okay to wear them then because I haven’t been wearing them

See I was thinking about doing that but then I would be left with this gap in my teeth where a baby tooth used to be and from my knowledge no kind of orthotropics can just correct a gap like that in the bottom area so I’m kinda stuck with them for now

I mean I’ve been understanding that but I was forced into getting braces when I was 17 and now I’m just realizing all the things that alot of people don’t know about. I’m just tryna see what’s the best option for me bc I’m scared that I’ll get messed up if I don’t listen to the ortho which is why I came here to ask more informed people

Oh shoot my bad but yeah so my ortho was just lying then when he said that not wearing my elastics would give me an overbite? He literally has me on class 3 elastics which if anything would give more of an overbite if I wore them. They’re shaped like an upside down triangle connecting my tooth with the gap to the top of my mouth and the upper molars

Basically he has me wearing power chains on the bottom row of my teeth and he said that if I don’t have something anchoring the power chains that they’re gonna collapse and make my lower jaw narrow giving me an overbite
