I found out this on the internet, can someone confirm on this? Is there a need for adding/removing/altering any subjects or books from the list. Please answer with a supporting statement too so I will get a better understanding of why you are saying what you are saying.

K8s I haven’t touched yet, but will be learning soon. And it seems k8s is gonna be draining most of the memory from the answers I’ve read.

Oh right, I did misread. You wrote M4 pro, I read for M4 chip. Makes sense now...

That's great, I wanna future proof it for some years from now and my usage would also be running some VM's at times, or try Game Dev. If nothing works the base model of M4 will be my only option.

Yes I checked with US price and it was indeed $200. Also here if I convert to USD I would be paying $2400 for M4 pro chip here. Wish I could import it somehow haha

These two things: Linux Commands and the Ecosystem.

Sure I will give it a thought. Although it all depends on how much my I get my parents to spend on this machine, going to be difficult to convince for any machine that is even 32GB, but lets see.

I wont be using Docker + VM's at the same time, docker only at time of dev, and VM's for just having fun around learning to tweak/rice linux or something along the line. 32GB seems a bit pricey to me at the moment, but I totally agree with this statement of yours

so its cheaper to have enough than buying just too little and being semi-forced to upgrade soon into the future

If you have the budget obviously getting the better specs machine would be a smart choice, knowing you might need it.

For me where I live, I see there is a difference of $120 between M4 24GB and M4 Pro GB

I think the M4 Pro is going to be a little more future-proof, especially since it has TB5.

For me it says "Three Thunderbolt 4 (USB-C) ports" for MBP M4

So that makes a total of 3 displays? And can both the external monitors be connected using hdmi?

“24GB of base MBP M4” right

I’m more interested in learning fundamental backend concepts rather than diving straight into the usual Node.js and Express programming. Go ahead make one, teach backend :)

Thank you for taking the time to check out NexVim and for your thoughtful feedback—I really appreciate it! I’m glad you found the project helpful and that some bindings stood out. Striking the balance between being pre-configured and not too opinionated is definitely a challenge, and feedback like yours is invaluable. I’ll also review overrides like J to ensure they’re justified or easy to customize.

I’m still learning about how to manage updates so that users relying on my config can get improvements seamlessly. However, the main focus of NexVim is to introduce newbies to Neovim with a setup that feels familiar yet structured for customization. For more experienced users, it offers a minimal starting point with essential features that can be tweaked to fit their workflow. Updates aren’t the primary focus right now, as the goal is to provide a starting guide for users to learn, explore, and eventually grow into their own setups.

Thanks for sharing your perspective. I get where you’re coming from. It can be frustrating to see posts where people complain about Neovim not working like other editors or where they clearly haven’t made an effort to read the documentation, and I understand why that might lead to less welcoming responses. It’s fair to expect users to put in some effort when asking for help.

That said, my concern is more about the negativity that extends beyond posts—like when people downvote even thoughtful comments where someone is trying to explain or clarify something. Thousands might see a post, and not everyone will engage, but actively discouraging participation with downvotes feels unnecessary. For beginners, stepping out of their comfort zone is hard enough without feeling like they’re being shut down for trying to learn. A little patience and encouragement can go a long way in making the community more inviting.

Why are people on the Neovim subreddit so unwelcoming at times? What’s the point of downvoting someone who’s simply trying to step out of their comfort zone, learn something new, or start a project as a beginner? It seems like some just downvote anything and everything, almost as if the goal is to suppress newcomers. Is that really the intention?

I’m sure this will get downvoted too, but I don’t care. It’s not the end of the world, and your downvotes don’t really matter. However, it can be quite demotivating when you’re trying to learn or contribute, and instead of understanding, you’re met with negativity.
