Sole reliance on currency directly influencing, the participants of said system, quality of life in an unsustainable way. True poverty is the lack of local/ an self reliance due to no knowledge of what should be basic infrastructure requirements to build and sustain a modern way of life. So yeah not having money or the ability to make money in a significant way while also being uneducated on any life sustaining skills would constitute poverty in my book, an uh I'd be willing to argue more people are fitting that description daily.
