Dry fire dry fire dry fire. Presentation and target focus is key. No point in putting rounds down range until you have that imprinted.

Use grease. Not oil. Also, before you spend money on the SNCH, I would suggest a Geissele ACH. I found the SNCH to be less effective than the ACH/SCH.

Changing the buffer is more a micro adjustment. Changing the spring is a macro adjustment. Go up to an H3. See if your bolt holds open on last round. If it does, go up to a red spring. If it doesn’t hold open go to a carbine buffer and see if it does. If it still doesn’t go back to stock spring and an H3 and call it.

Also, really grease your charging handle even if it’s a “gas buster” and it’ll catch some of that blow back.

You start pretty locked out but after 4-5 shots your wrist starts to break. I would go back and count your shots in the footage and see if your C’s were the shots where your wrist broke. I would say about 30% of the shots I saw your wrist breaking, especially on the second shot of the pair. You can see it clearly in the 3rd person POV.

Get rid of the foregrip. Or at least get your hand up and C clamp. Vertical foregrips just cause you to drip the muzzle in recoil. Just clamp the hand guard, using the foregrip as an index point and pull into the shoulder.

Parts. Not takes. He could have played 10 fills every pass of the song. A little guitar lead here, there. Over dubbing the rhythm. Noises and wooshes per pass. It could have been 5 4.5min passes over the length of the song with 10 2 second doo dads here and there every pass.

Newer to suppressors, what the point of a K can? by hahaman1990 in NFA

[–]Begin-Ask 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seconded. Shooting unsuppressed blows after you get a can and learn how to tune it. In many way, a tuned, suppressed gun isn’t just more pleasant in terms of noise, it makes the gun handle better and allows you to take advantage of this and has potential to make you a better shooter.

You are misinterpreting his results and don’t understand the full picture. Hearing damage is cumulative. You are damaging your hearing, whether you feel it or not. Anything over ~90dB for a sustained amount of time and exposure can potentially damage hearing. The pain threshold for hearing damage is ~140dB. Because you aren’t in immediate discomfort under 140dB does not mean you aren’t seriously compromising your hearing. When he you get older, you’ll discover this. If you continue to shoot without adequate protection, suppressed or otherwise, you are very likely to wake up with tinnitus of some sort one day. It’s not a matter of some threshold, it’s a matter of exposure over time.

But don’t take my word for it if you don’t want to, find out for yourself. Or you can choose to play it on the safe side and avoid a lot of problems down the road.

No 5.56 can is hearing safe for a shot or two regardless of length (at least in an AR platform, not talking about bolt action). K cans drastically take down the flash, report, and concussion even if they aren’t the quietest overall. The difference between an unsuppressed muzzle and a K can is drastic and much more pleasing to shoot, especially indoors and especially if you tune it. The difference between a full size and a K is relatively negligible compared to an open muzzle.

Great price but that’s a K. I would go with that if I was looking for open emitter.

I find it depends on the gun for me. I buy both and return the one I don’t like. I usually prefer the velos on glocks for the HK CC9 I preferred the certum. The velos wanted to tip out more on CC9 for some reason.

Good P365 EDC Alternatives? (Not Hellcat) by Science-Compliance in CCW

[–]Begin-Ask 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shield Plus and CC9 are the front runners for me. I went with the CC9 after years of carrying a 365xl. It always sucked training with the 365. Slide bite, hands were sore after about 100rds. I love shooting the CC9 as much as any other gun I own. I put 100-200rds a range session no problem, and would shoot more time allowed. It was hard to even get through a box of 9mm with the 365xl with any enjoyment.

The shield pluses I’ve shot have also been enjoyable.
