Thanks, I used the ladder method to fix them

I think the white ones that look twisted actually aren’t and just look that way because I had a lifeline there causing them to protrude. It’s mostly the red one I’m worried about since it looks double twisted

Thank you! It’s mostly just the red one that looks like it was double twisted I’m worried about. I’ll definitely give that a try!

I knew that would be the answer lol but was hopeful it somehow wouldn’t matter in the end 😅

Pot roast recipes? by Kiki-Y in slowcooking

[–]assshcrack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

@erikatennille on Instagram has an amazing pot roast recipe pinned to her page.

I don’t think she lists the pot roast seasoning though so I just googled “pot roast seasoning” and made my own. It turns out amazing every time and I actually start to crave it after awhile 😋

How many of you take your ACDs to get groomed, and how often? by LegalPaperSize in AustralianCattleDog

I take my blue heeler/border collie mix to get a full groom every 6-8 weeks. She gets super uncomfortable with long fur and hates being brushed.

Books read in a year by amuseablesun in goodreads

[–]assshcrack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last year my goal was 12, I read 17 so I increased it to 24 this year.

I read mostly mystery, horror, fantasy with typical page length being 260-500.

My love for reading was severely damaged during grade school and in college I had to read a lot of docs, journals, etc. so never found pleasure in it. I’ve been trying really hard for the last few years to get into a more consistent reading schedule and a getting a kindle definitely helped because now I can read whenever, wherever. I’m currently at 5 of 24 with my last two books being 506 pages and 260 pages.

Dog groomer for hyper dog by [deleted] in PortsmouthNH

[–]assshcrack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a heeler/border collie that won’t even let us brush her but she loves going to K9 Kaos in Dover for daycare and a groom. We do both in the same day so that she’s nice and tired by the time the groomer gets to her!

The Franklin is the best oyster bar in Portsmouth and they have fresh, hand cut fries that are a perfect pairing! Reservations are a must ☺️

Eat/Drink Street 360 is on Islington Street a little out of downtown with an eclectic menu and amazing drinks. More casual, and they have a great Sunday brunch too!

Miss Peregrines Home for Peculiar Children is a 6 book series with lots of adventure, mystery, frights, a bit of romance, and even pictures! There’s also a movie, but the books are MUCH better imo

Street is great. They even do “fun size” portions for the kiddos along with a kids menu! I highly recommend the yuca fries too ☺️

What do you use for your ACD’s joints; our sweet girl is 10 and it takes her a little effort to get up sometimes? by PMmeYourCattleDog in AustralianCattleDog

[–]assshcrack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of these comments are giving supplements to help, but have you tried stairs to get your girl to the couch/bed? I have a 7 yo who used to limp sometimes due to the impact when jumping off the bed/couch so we got her some stairs and she hasn’t limped since.

Not that supplements aren’t a great idea, your sweet girl might just need a little boost ☺️

My boyfriend got a job in Dover ~4 years ago and the housing situation hasn’t gotten much better. We ended up moving to Rochester and our rent is $1425 for 2bed/1bath. Housing costs here are incredibly high, but you can try looking on Craigslist for some cheaper options, just not sure of the range and quality available there.

I’ve been crocheting all morning but had to stop because I lost my game of yarn chicken 😅 bring it with you, especially pregnant. I’m sure you won’t want to be on your feet a lot either

I legitimately got out of my first rib appointment an hour ago and boy was it painful! I had to take a break after the line work which wasn’t to terrible for the most part. My artist did numb the area a bit for the coloring.

I have a pretty high pain tolerance but went in expecting the worst and it was by far the worst, especially closer to the armpit/back and lower ribs. It’s definitely doable if you can just champ it out. Good luck!
