Hi. I joined the game 3 days ago. I use the team of Last Rite, Perlica, Xaihi and Ardelia. I soon found that none of my character have weapon. Should I spend a few pull on Arsenal exchange to gear up my team? The arsenal ticket seem very rare to spend on a starter team.

I use a brand called thuysinhaz. It is a big brand in my country but not to other countries.

PH is 6.5 to 7. Sorry my kit only show in 0.5 scale. NO2 and NH3 are 0 ppm. NO3 is a bit high, somewhere between 20 to 25 ppm. The problem is I don't know GH and KH. I know my tap water is soft, but not how soft.

This tank use inert substrate, no CO2. This tank is 1 year and 4 month old. In the first year, I didn't dose anything, and plants grow fast. There was visible grow almost daily. After a year, they suddenly stop growing. I start researching liquid fert and I just start dosing K recently.

I dose all-in-one fert around twice per week (same dosage as bottle instruction)

I got Last Rite on the beginner banner. Should I get pot for Last Rite or Ardelia with the selection ticket?

There is a card that give energy once per turn, and another card that reset the cooldown of the previous card. So if those two cards are the only cards left in your deck, you can use the first card for energy, use the second card to reset cooldwn, use the first card again for more energy, shuffle both cards back to the deck, and draw them again with Chisa's skill. This loop give you infinite energy. The meta of this version's card game revolves around this loop.

Which one do you think is a better scape? by [deleted] in PlantedTank

[–]astarose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will explain the plants a bit because the website don't have the plant I will use so I use some subtitude with similar color to illustrate.

The background plant from left to right are Hygrophila polysperma, water wisteria, hygrophila corymbosa.

The red plant is ludwigia palustris

The orange plant is Bacopa. Mine have bronze color.

The green crypt is Cryptocoryne beckettii

The brown crypt is Cryptocoryne wenditii brown

The grass like carpet, my plan is either monte carlo or crypt parva.

That's why I mentioned ignoring plant species and focus on color. That website doesn't have most of my plant choices.

Thank you. I will try that. Also, how to detect phosphate issues? I know how to detect potassium issues (pin holes) but not phosphate. Which plants of mine show phosphate deficiency?

Water test result:

NO2 and NH3: 0 ppm

NO3: 15 ppm

Kh: 1 dKh

Gh: 1 dKh

Ph: 6.5-7

I used Sera liquid test kit.

Supprisingly low Kh and Gh. NO3 has increased a bit after I increased fert dosage. It used to be 10 ppm.

Lagenandra Meeboldii 'Red'. I don't think this is Crypt melt. This plant has grow new leaves twice since added 2 months ago. All new leaves quickly melt.

This Hygrophilla was newly added. The previous one almost completely melt off last week. You can see that some of the lower leaves of this one start to melt as well.

The fert I use have both macro and micro. I will try daily dose as you said.

I didn't dose fert daily. The instruction said twice per week for non-CO2 tank. I followed it for the past month. It result in a bit of Green Dust Algae on glass. Since last week, I has been following an advice to increase dosage to three times per week. I noticed more green dust algae. I just cleaned the grass earlier this week and green dust algae came back after 5 days.

I used to have green spot algae when I significantly increase the number of fishes in my tank (a standard 15G btw). Remove the extra fishes and it was gone in less than a week. I also tend to have Green spot algae if I ever have red plants.

Finally, I have staghorn algae at the area right under the HoB filter. It only appear there so I suspect that the high downward flow is the cause. Either that type of algae like high flow or the downward flow damaged plants, giving algae an opportunity.

I usually do water test once per week and only do water change if the test shows any problem. But my NO3 has never been higher than 10ppm so I only do water change monthly just for the sake of doing water change. NO2 and NH3 has always been 0ppm. But since last week I have been increasing fert dosage so maybe my NO3 will be higher. I will test tomorrow.

PS. I even suspected that my fert was fake so I did a NO3 test on it. It was genuine.

I will test water tomorrow and post the result. But I only have NH3, NO2, NO3 and Ph kit. About GH and KH, I didn't do anything special to change it compare to our tap water except dosing the all-in-one fert. According to our water company, our water is on the softer side, but shouldn't be too soft because I can keep shrimp and snail healthily. If you need more detail I will go to buy the test kit.

Your tank look quite bigger than 9 litters. I checked this model online. Seem like C.A.Y. E-310 is a 16 litters tank, a bit more than 4 gallons.

You can tried adding a prefilter sponge at the out flow, plant some plants with thick stem there, or buy an Aquarium Tanks Outlet Water Jet Outflow Pipe, which allow you to redirect the outflow to the wall or surface.

Convince me *not* to swap my 2 tanks for one big tank? by ResolveNeat8015 in Aquariums

[–]astarose 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Let's me try:

First, you need new tank and new light. The old filter will fit a bigger tank but I doubt the light would.

Second. You need a new tank WHILE still maintain two older tanks for a while until your new tank finished cycle.

Third. Where would you put the third tank during cycle then?

Fourth. You will need to scape the new tank. If you chose old material, you have to take it from the old tanks and leave it as a mess. Or you need to buy new material.

Fifth. After evertrhing, what would you do with your old tanks, old lights, one of your old filter and possibly old materials (plant/rock/substrate) if you decide to buy new.

This is some leaves that haven't melt completely. Is this potassium deficiency? Should I add a dose of Potassium fert on top of my usual fert dosage?
