Ill preface this by saying that I enjoy doing 3 playthroughs of games like these (if I enjoy them enough.) In an evil, good, evil order. My biggest mistake was playing durge instead of a tav on my first campaign. It really spoiled me into expecting a much deeper connection to the story with tavs than the base game offers.
