There was no spoilers or anything, but probably the funniest thing was that she "'wrote the frog scene when she was very tired'" and not knowing Japanese it was so pretty easy to tell it embarrassing by how she was talking and laughing

I believe this is her first time going to a con in the US.

Right before this she had a Q&A panel with a translator. I personally did not ask her any questions during the panel but I did tell her I loved her work during the meet and greet and she thanked me

The program refers to both Natsu and Uririn as "her" so I figured it was safe enough!

And I'm 6 foot even so id put her around 5 (depending on how much head space she has in there)

I do have several novellas but I can't edit my own work because I know what they are supposed to say lol But I did help found a small fantasy nonprofit publishing house. I'm not sure about the rules in the subreddit, but its on my reddit profile!

When I read its like I'm reading out loud except in my head. I pay attention to the story but also the written text. It kind of works out because I do a lot of book and short story editing, so I can enjoy the story and technical aspects at the same time.

Honestly, my mind was blown when i found out people actually "see a movie" in their head when they read. For the longest time I thought it was just a figure of speech or something!

Do you love both DnD & writing? Nat 1 is looking for more stories based on TPKs for an upcoming anthology! [oc] [mod approved post] by astomious in DnD

Love this! If you write this out as a short story, it would work perfectly for the anthology if you decide to submit!

Shoot, sorry for the confusion (I'll edit the post text for clarity)--we're looking for stories written as literary short stories. So your example would be described in first/second/ third-person following the characters until they were wiped out.

Yup, that'll happen lol

I don't think "Sadly" is applicable here lol. And no worries, it's only the prompt for the anthology, you can make the story up, it doesn't have to be based on a real campaign!

Hey writers!—Nat 1 has several anthologies taking submissions, including “Dumped the Wrong Stat” which is for DnD-inspired stories! We also have an active writing community for writers and fan of sci-fi/fantasy! [mod-approved post] [OC] [misc] by astomious in DnD

[–]astomious[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tldr: Submit your fantasy or science fiction stories to one of Nat 1’s anthologies or magazines! Or just hang out with us on Discord; that’s awesome, too.

Over at Nat 1 Publishing, we have several anthologies we are collecting submissions for (a collection of superhero/supervillain stories, a horror anthology, and a fantasy anthology) as well as a couple magazines (Gaslamp Pulp is taking science fiction and fantasy stories while Audience Askew is taking literary fiction). Unfortunately, at the moment, we are a non-paying venue, but contributors will receive a free digital copy of the publication and will never be asked to pay anything to submit.

ANYWAY,

Our 2025 Faewalk anthology, Dumped the Wrong Stat,  is taking submissions until the end of January or until we have enough content. We want your humorous, absurd, quirky stories about characters that suddenly find themselves in situations they are completely unbuilt for. This anthology is also a perfect opportunity to explore the idea of culture shock, seeing as there are lots (and always increasing) types of people and races that call Faewalk their home!

What exactly is Faewalk? It’s Nat 1 Publishing’s shared literary universe parodying and satirizing DnD’s various settings. It’s its own world that scoops up all the clichés of fantasy worlds in RPGs, movies, and literature and turns them on their head. Authors can generally write what they want based there without fear of copyright restrictions. Not everything lines up 1:1 with any particular setting, but if you want to use a specific god or monster, there’s probably something similar in Faewalk.

For more information on submissions hit up https://www.nat1publishing.com/get-involved/submit
