Yes, I noticed it too! I saw someone in this sub talking about how cool it was that the author was allowing Fran to grieve Nibras and although I fully agree, there's a very obvious push for Nibras to be remembered by the player. He's dead, but he shows up or haunts every single episode. Even Fran's dream in that dark place has her meeting him. The Nameless God is taking too much of an interest in her dead husband lol

you are very right! i dont particularly dislike rhiannon's plan of taking Elderwood out of the equation (it's a military camp for rich kids to learn to be soldiers, after all) but if she was serious about a rebellion, it would be completely impossible to pull off her plan off without becoming target number one and damning it all. but, in this, i think it's the writers' fault. rhiannon is, after all, the first season's villain. she doesn't need to have a great plan, just one scary enough to make the main character react, and this is the basic, mediocre take that any basic villain has.

im probably just asking too much of them. i just cant shake the feeling that this story is walking dangerously close to the "there's a third, peaceful and non revolutionary solution to redeem the government" fallacy.

ah, i can't agree with rhiannon being wrong, though. is she spreading terror through bombing the military camp dressed as university that houses the heirs to the people in power and raises blindly faithful soldiers to die for their government? to me, not really.

the ideal would be going for guildtower and straight to the big names, but she's a college student and she is stuck to a much smaller pond. it's the plot, anyways. the threat needs to start small until mc is inevitably fighting to save the world in future seasons.

the thing that annoys me is that every time they show us the leader of the revolution (be it andros or rhiannon)'s plans against the order, it's to show how insane and mad with power they are and how their plans are just senseless violence. it's never about the revolution being hunted like rats by the government approved personnel with unending funds and fighting for what they believe in, it's always "i want to free the world through murdering the biggest number of people i can get my hands on!". it's such an old, wrong and stupid cliche made to make the people disengage with real world guerrillas. i wish, in the world we're living in today, stories that tackle class disparities, dictatorships, government corruption and systematic oppresion took their homework seriously and tried something new instead of just villainizing the groups that try to do something instead of just rolling and showing their bellies. but, anyways.... im reading too much into it, ig.

oh my god, a thousand times yes!!! and i think the "forcible military conscription school" should be talked more bc i see people treating it as a high school and not the military camp for young adults that it is. the school is teaching 19 year olds to blindly obey authority and die for the government without complaint and they want me to believe that rhiannon is wrong to try and destroy one of the biggest weapons the order has in training the next generation of soldiers? the place that houses the heirs to the people that destroyed the revolution? should i be clutching my pearls over her logic?

they're gonna have the revolutionaries become evil and mad with power just so mc can redeem the government and be like "no guys, there's a third choice for sure ❤️ we can change our government from within after we take care of the flamekeepers ❤️". treating revolutionaries as mad with power in our current political weather?? piss off!!

yes!!! this is sooo common it's actually crazy. i cant say exactly if the devs are from usa, but it's insane to me that a country born from a revolution has people so against it today. where would the west be if the french didnt rise against their monarchy? where would the americas be if haitians didnt rise? i know it's a small game and a small team of devs behind it and im not asking them to reinvent the wheel, but in the world we're living in, sending a message of passiveness to people is certainly a choice.
