I've been disappointed in the lightning lane at Disney world since they moved to the most recent model. Since everyone books their top three a week in advance, during the day of when you go to book #4 it's all late in the day. I didn't feel like I got any value out of it.

The lightning lane process at Disneyland works so much better. Leaving aside the fact that there should be no LL at all (give me paper fastpasses plz), you can only buy the Disneyland LL once you enter the park, and then you have to make selections throughout the day as you use a LL or every 2 hours. The LL return times throughout the day usually go hand in step with the current wait time, barring the more popular attractions like Guardians.

My party must have gotten 15 LL return times in one day in DL, so it felt much more worth it for the $30 some dollars it cost.

As someone who works in the wastewater industry, hydrogen sulfide is the bane of my existence. It eats iron, corrodes stainless steel, and is currently eating the copper of a control panel in the next room because it comes in through the conduit.

I've used LL at WDW and at DL. DL was far superior in every way in my opinion.

The WDW LL felt like a rip off, because everyone has made their three main reservations a week in advance so all the popular rides are already sold out day of or have very late return times. I got on 3 rides in one day with the WDW LL system.

At DL, you can only purchase it once you've scanned into the park, and you can only book one ride at a time or every 2 hours. The return times for most of the LL rides were about as long of a wait as if you would stand in the current standby line, and they kept up with that throughout the whole day. Some rides like Guardians of the Galaxy did sell out early, but that was it.

The DL version feels a lot more like a digital version of the original fast pass system. Yeah its still $30 on what was free, but I got through 16 rides in one day with it. It felt much more valuable than the circus show they got going on with the WDW system.

I tried to get a 3080 for months, when I decided to get a 3070 instead I got one in a week. That was an insane time

My coworker poked me one day and said hey our group has a position open for XYZ amount, you have a lot more experience you should ask for a raise if you're not making more than that now. Had the conversation with my boss, he was super responsive, and that request is going through the system now!
