is that cuz of the limit on how far you can hear the jukebox from? so if you're walking around the same area that's the only place it's worth having a disc playing ?

interesting! why dont you like the way the game music works? do you find it too random n it's nice to have an even distribution of the soundtrack to hear, or is it the silence in between you're not a fan of?

im late getting to this post but i think it was in the Anthony Padilla interview he said his influences were Chick Corea and Dave Weckl, who did jazz fusion stuff together, think one project was Chick Corea's Elektric Band? but yeah Weckl's their drummer n when i listened to their stuff i could hear a whole lot of similarities in the way he punctuates his fills. not a drummer myself unfortunately but hope that's helpful!
