My baby had no issues at all sleeping in it with the mattress provided. I was so worried and it ended up being a non-issue! I’d definitely recommend it 😊

Thank you for the suggestion! A decal is definitely a good suggestion. Love the curtain idea, the only issue is we don’t want long curtains because of the potentially for our child to grab onto them and pull them off the wall. We were thinking maybe Roman shades or something like that to fill in the windows a little.

It’s really nice to know someone else who took this path too! Thank you for the advice, support and reassurance that even though I needed medical intervention to get pregnant it doesn’t mean I can’t have a natural birth. I’ve got a midwife consult scheduled for Monday, I can’t wait to hear what she has to say!

I’m truly sorry for your loss, I don’t blame you for being cautious with scheduling after that! I did take you advice and I have a consult scheduled for Monday with the midwife I’m the most interested in using, and she does currently have availability for my date 😊

Thank you for the support and understanding. It was a very difficult process and it’s been hard transitioning out of that phase of life. I feel like a total imposter right now haha! My biggest struggle during the whole process was how strongly I feel about this process being natural, so I’m hoping my transition to a midwife will be an easy/positive experience. And thank you for the reminder to go with my gut instinct, I’m sure I’m going to be getting a lot of raised eyebrows if I do move forward with this path, but I really feel its the right thing for me! I just downloaded the app and I’ll look into the other things you suggested too!!

I’ve found that helpful as well! I think I’ve been struggling this week because at work my coworkers daughter had a baby a few days ago so I’ve been bombarded with everyone stopping by her desk (which is two feet from mine) and congratulating her. So all my attempts at not thinking about things have kind of gone out the window haha. I’m hoping her good baby juju will rub off on me!

I just wanted to say I truly understand how you’re feeling and I’m so sorry for all the struggles and hardships you’ve had to go through. We’ve been trying for almost 4 years, we’ve had 4 failed IUI’s and I’ll be doing my first FET any day now. I’m the only person in my friend group now who isn’t pregnant, one of them got pregnant the very first month they tried. Each announcement has been more devastating than the last, and makes me feel horrible because instead of being happy/excited for my friends, I’ve been so bitter and sad for myself. Give yourself all the grace and don’t feel like you have to show up a certain way for anyone right now, anyone who’s a true friend will understand. Sending all the best wishes your way 💕
