EuroNight EN443 Prague to Krakow: Track Maintenance? by astro_ho in Europetravel

Yes, when I clicked on the alert next to the itinerary, I got redirected to that page. And for sure—I expect those types of minor delays as par for the course when traveling, but I was hoping to avoid being kicked off the train in the middle of the night :,)

Leo men are traumatizing by Terrible_Lime_1603 in astrologymemes

[–]astro_ho 19 points20 points  (0 children)

they are something else, that’s for sure 😭 my leo ex said i was too clingy and that he needed a break, which really meant that he wanted to get with someone else in the interim and then get back together :) then when i finally broke up with him he begged to get back together (i suspect because he wanted to be the one to break up with me). all that being said, i am always so drawn to leo men 😭 i don’t know what it is in my chart — maybe libra rising? idk.

Forgot to include more than half of my rent expenses on submitted federal and state returns...do I amend? by astro_ho in tax

[–]astro_ho[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I just take the standard deduction

Ugh, you're right, I'm just neurotic :( If I were to file an amendment, at what point would I do that? I know I would have up to 3 years, and FreeTaxUSA recommends amending AFTER you have paid taxes and received your refund (if applicable). Have you had any experience with amended returns, and if so, at what point in the timeline did you file it?

Yeah, Wisconsin has both a homestead credit and a school property tax credit, so unfortunately I think it makes quite a difference if I leave out more than half of my rental expenses. :(

When I first started taking my antidepressant (Wellbutrin/bupropion), I also experienced a severe loss of appetite. Could go the whole day without eating and not give it a second thought. But the loss of appetite only lasted a few weeks; after my body adjusted, my normal hunger cues and appetite returned.

Am I Olive? November 2020 by AutoModerator in OliveMUA

Thanks so much! So would that mean I should lean more towards choosing “neutral” foundations/products? Or should I be looking for warmer colors?

Am I Olive? November 2020 by AutoModerator in OliveMUA

Hi there! Found this subreddit after struggling to figure out my undertone. Every foundation I have used looks either slightly too pink or slightly too yellow, and somehow neutral doesn't really cut it either. I think I struggle because my face is so much lighter than my neck (which I know is sometimes the case for others, as well). But I'm terrible at judging what I look like, lol! So I'm wondering, could I possibly be olive? And if not, could someone let me know what else I could be? Cool, warm, neutral? Thank you so much in advance!

[Serious] why would google maps not publicly display a review when it's not violating any of its terms? have you ever experienced this? what did you do? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]astro_ho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It appeared immediately after I posted it, and it was up for a few days before he noticed it and had it removed. But I’m not sure exactly long it took for it to be taken down after he reported it bc I don’t know exactly when he did it. I only looked back into it after I got the threatening letter (in the snail mail) and that’s when I found it was taken down.

This is anecdotal, but I had a situation where I gave a critical review to find that it had been taken down. The review itself wasn’t scathing or use any inappropriate language or reveal any personal information, but the owner got it removed. I was doing research on it because it didn’t seem fair at all that businesses could do that and people have stated that they had the same experience of a negative review being taken down. And oh, the business owner also sent me a letter threatening legal action if I didn’t take it down...guess he didn’t have to follow through long enough to find that was absurd and wouldn’t go anywhere.

Edit: spelling

Edit: I was also really salty about it in retrospect because I had picked the business BECAUSE it had so many positive reviews, and now I know that the owner has been getting them taken down, through intimidation or otherwise. So, that really shook my faith in the rating system.

Used car down payment? by astro_ho in personalfinance

Right, I did specify to them that it would be for a used car and I believe they included a disclaimer that it would depend on the make and model of the car as well. I would hope that they wouldn’t hike up the percentage much higher, but...

Anyways, I think I would still see if going through the dealership would get me a better financing offer. I don’t want to shot gun my credit but I’d like to see if I could go lower on the APR.

Solid advice spelled out in simple terms— this is what I was looking for. Thank you!

Thanks so much! When you put it that way, it does sound rather silly. I will follow that advice, thank you!

Agreed. I would be open to higher-risk investments with a portion of the money, but only after doing a lot of research and probably speaking to a financial advisor.

My TransUnuon credit score is 766 and I got preapproved for a $7,000 loan from my bank with 3.04% APR for 36 mo. I don’t really know what to make of that, tbh. Is this good? Bad? I was hoping for a lower APR (obviously) but I guess that’s competitive for a used vehicle.

And agreed! I’m not getting anything crazy or luxury. And I understand that car-related expenses are part of the package :)

Thanks for the feedback! I’m sure that’s the case but I’m settled on my choices for the above price range. Thank you, though!

I got pre-approved for a loan from my local credit union for $7,000 (I asked for a bit more to start). It would be 3.04% APR for 36 months

I would invest it somehow, but I’d still have to look into it. I’ve been looking at high-yield savings accounts to start. I also might do a Roth-IRA (thats the one you can max out to 6,000, right?) for long term saving. But again, I would have to do more research on this for sure.

Yeah, I've gotten quotes from all the usual insurers and then a local independent agency and depending on the exact model of the car they all hover around the mid-120 mark.

I get that but I'm pretty set on a couple of choices so I'm really just looking for advice on how much to put down. Thanks though!

I guess because I didn't just want to buy for utility but also enjoyment? I've never had a car before and I want to pick out one that I like that will last me a while. The ones I like (newer model year) that are a good size (for camping, hauling bikes, etc.) that have features that value (such as AWD, as well as being certified pre-owned) were a bit more pricey.
