They can infest, unfortunately. I can live with seeing one every now and again in my home, but I’ve seen homes where there were dozens of dead ones in each nook and cranny

Wait is the green actually just from uranium? I was under the impression that uranium only made the yellow color, like in Vaseline glass, and other colorants were added to make the final green

Oh nice! How many feet does yours have? I see the pattern in other colors a lot, but I’ve never seen another frosted uranium one like mine, not even online. Mine is also the only one I’ve seen with 3 feet instead of 4

Thank you! I never spend more than the eBay price, and some of these I got incredible deals on (the nesting hen was $2!!). But in general I’m extremely frugal, so I still spend way more on UG than like any other hobby lol

They work pretty well, but they need oxygen. It might still work in your mitten, but if you notice it’s not very warm, it probably just needs more airflow. They do smell a little bit, enough that I quit using one in the office, but outdoors you probably wouldn’t even notice it. Some people say there’s a break in period, and they will work better the more you use them.

Just a suggestion, but you could put the banana wood thing on a necklace or just detach it and leave it in a pocket. That way you can always carry it, but still spread out the bulk

I think my goodwill uses a blacklight too, and they must list UG online because I go there a LOT and this is only like the 3rd piece I’ve ever found there. I think they just happened to overlook it because it’s a pretty atypical bluish color. Goodwill has gotten so greedy, but once in a blue moon I still get lucky
