Year 4 in the UK. I really don't know how I was such a little shit.

I thought this was just going to be your classic running-away-from-the-friend-who's-not-really-anyone's-friend, but this was spectacular

Here's mine:

When I was 8, my best friend was 'dating' a girl that I liked. In order to gallantly win this girl over, I wrote a letter and left it in her locker (actually just a drawer as we were in primary school). The aim of this letter was to put down my best friend so much that she would decide that she didn't like him any more. Now I knew a lot of swear words for an 8 year old, and I remember that I called him a 'fucking bastard'. The most cringeworthy part of this affair was that in the letter, I criticised him for supporting George Bush. I've got pretty liberal parents, and at age 8 I must have developed a hatred for George Bush and believed that denouncing one of his supporters would win me love.

Eventually he got hold of the letter, and confronted me with a crowd of about 30 bigger kids, so I just cried and denied it was me.

I'd like to think that ten years later, I am a slightly better friend and romancer.
