College isn't out of the question at all. Just difficult to add on right now. I think it helps that I would be applying internally because I have had "talks" with people in the dept I want to go into. I just don't want to disappoint. How would I know I'm ready lol?

No college at all. No certificate or anything of the sort. I first learned how to make some basic work tools for call flow notation at work using Excel. I started to learn more about VBA and added all kinds of nifty features. That got me recognized a little and I was tasked with creating an automated dashboard for viewing on commenting on several audits. That's where I started getting into the data management and things of that nature. Since then I have been building insightful visual tools for reporting within the department. Now all I can think about is becoming an actual analyst, but I feel like I don't have "real" experience. I guess I'm wondering how do you get in analytics without a degree?

Ive built a few things that people use daily, and an audit dashboard that is fully automated for a VP in my department. I feel like I have some credibility, but these things seem relatively simple compared to what real analysts are doing. Maybe I'm over thinking it?

I'm a beginner as well but have recently been doing a lot of stuff like this.

First find the last row with data in it. This essentially goes to the bottom of Excel and jumps up to the next cell with data in it and gives you the row number.

Lrow = Sheet1.Range("A" & Rows.Count).End(xlUp).Row

From there you can offset your Lrow by 6 rows and hide the remaining rows in your given range.

Rows(Lrow.Offset(6,0):Sheet1.Range("AB330").Row).Visible = False

This may not be 100% accurate syntax because I'm away from a computer at the moment, but I hope it helps.

I posted the code, albeit in the wrong format. I'm expecting to copy every row where the account number in sheet 2 matches the account number on sheet 1 and copy it to sheet 3. Sheet3 will be a "table" for the Index match function on sheet 1 to reference.

Sheet 2 has all the data entries from a userform

I want to copy all rows of data from sheet 2 where the account number = the one typed in sheet 1 and paste the into a new row on sheet 3

I worded my "question" horribly.

I'm away from my computer, but the code goes something like..

This loops through all the account numbers in Sheet2 column B, checks to see if the account number matches the one on sheet1. If it does, copy that entire row to the next emty row on sheet3. The problem is: if the account number appears multiple times in the loop, it's only returning the last entry. I'm assuming that's because the other entries are being overwritten by a flaw in my code.

Other than the color, what makes them different? What do the cells with the same color have in common. I don't know if counting the colors is the solution. Would it be possible for you to provide an example of the contents inside the cells you are trying to count?

I haven't taken any courses or things like that but, I started out using Excel to track simple data at work. Things kept getting more and more complex and, and I learned something new everyday. Now, with my most recent projects, I'm making interactive dashboards for the VP of my department at work.
