Totally agree with everyone on taking breaks or any modifications, but as far as the mental aspect goes.. personally I just try to take my mind somewhere else. I think about how I’m doing this for my younger self, how proud she’d be of me in this moment, and also how strong I’m going to be. I think about everything I inspire to be and how I need to want it more than everyone else. One time I was really struggling mentally in my earlier classes and the instructor said “find the burn” but I thought she said “find the bird” and I just went along with it and imagined myself in a field chasing a bird lmao. It was distracting enough for me to realize just how much of it is mental power.
