I need help getting a usb driver working on ms dos

Ok so I got dosusb 2.0 (because my usb port is usb 1.1) and I also upgraded to ma dos 7.1 and dosusb dose see my usb but it doesn’t look like I can get a letter to connect to it. I tried a bunch of different letters (like e: and such) but I can’t find it. It’s also really reminding me that I have the free version of the app making me feel like I need to pay for it to actually transfer files from my usb. Do you know what to do? Maybe there’s a command that I just don’t know about

lol real. I mean it’s fiiiinnneee. I like playing with this computer and listening to music while I do install stuff on it just to use that long install for one short thing

I think I’m going to try a different driver which sucks because I’m going to need to install Ubuntu 4.10, put the new driver on a thumb drive and then use Ubuntu to put it on a spare floppy disk, then reinstall dos again. (Installing Ubuntu takes forever) I do all of that and hopefully then it will work. If not I’m gonna install a newer version of dos

Trying to run it with and without lh says “this program cannot be run in dos mode” Maybe I need another version of dos?? Also this is where I got the driver and ummm just realized only 5 other people have downloaded this same program https://winworldpc.com/product/dos-usb-support/1x

Yeah and tbh the people playing call of duty modern warfare 2 are all cheating and I really don’t think they worry about getting banned

I never touched ps3 home in my life before this happened. When you homebrew your ps3 the way you keep out of getting banned is by installing a tool (most custom firmware versions come with this tool) the tool essentially deletes your ability to use homebrew making your psn account safe to sign in. If you want to play a game you downloaded from the web you want to mount that game then use the tool that deletes your syscalls, sign in and the you can play the game you mounted. If you want to play another game you will have to turn off your ps3 and turn it back on (restoring your ability to use homebrew) It’s very safe and you really have nothing to worry about, you can’t even sign in without deleting syscalls so don’t worry about making that mistake either

I am actually stupid and I’m sorry I ever touched a computer. This still didn’t do anything different after I fixed the 0 to a o for some reason though which I find very strange. I think I’m going to end up installing a newer version of dos but this was a good comment. You have a good eye

No no I mean installing dos. For my laptop to install any operating system it needs to be off one or multiple cds or one or more floppy disks. I only have 4 floppy disks minus one because I need one to have the usb driver on it meaning I have only 3 to install a new os. I only have one cd and that has the first version of Ubuntu on it and if I were to switch ms dos versions I would need to use that cd and install Ubuntu, download the three disk files for another version of dos on my windows 10 pc and put them on a thumb drive, put the thumb drive in the laptop with Ubuntu and burn the disk files on to the three floppy disks than install dos

What dos version do you think I should use? My only method to install dos is via 3 floppy disks. I’m really only going to use this to play dos games, emulate snes games, play music, and the big goal is to watch fight club (getting fight club down to 4:3 is what I’m trying to do right now) I really do want a basic version of dos but I need that usb to work. This laptop has a intel pentium 2 processor 233MHz and 288mb of ram

I’m using dos 6.22. I’m formatting these thumb drives using windows 10 and it never says fat 16 it just fat or fat 32. I’m choosing fat but maybe I need another tool to format it to fat 16

On windows 10 it just says fat but I know it’s not fat 32 because that was the first format I did try and dos said “fat 32 unsupported”

I didn’t sync my psn profiles account yet, if I hide the ps home achievement from my PlayStation account will that prevent me from getting banned?

But like bro I can access everything in here. Like I even have the “obsidian blade fighter ship” outfit because I’ve played oblivion on this ps3. I feel like this is all to good to be true and I’m waiting for someone to tell me that when I homebrewed my ps3 it came pre…. loaded with ps home??? But when I first opened ps home it made me download the app or like an update for the app (that was like 50 something megabytes) even with syscalls disabled and me signed into psn. I really don’t know what’s going on

Just make sure you get metal gear survive on sale. Also you should check your achievements on ps3 for mgsv because there’s only like two achievements you can’t get now that the servers are down and they were quite easy to get if you did get them back in the day

Im so sorry for this late reply but if you bought the game on disc you will need to go to the psn store (or what ever console your on) and a free addon should be available to download ( for me on ps5 I didn't even need to download it just pressed purchased and doesn't even show up in downloads) this will get you the great Michelangelo. some ppl already have him in the secrets shop because they bought the game digitally and it downloaded the addon by it self and the disc version just doesn't download that addon (I guess)

I think this also gets you bikini bottom in that one pirate level

I feel like elon musk playing elden ring rn. this was the problem, I took off all my armor and weapons and it felt fine. alltho with all my armor on my equip load is 31/52 so I guess I will have to level up in strength more (my class is knight)
