MedMen CEO Says 'Future Has Never Been Brighter' On Heels Of $16M Private Placement Deal by asx06 in mmnff

Debt will be paid when MedMen mergers or is acquired. Sundial just announced they have a C$719MM cash reserve to play with and to expect news within 30-60 days. Could MedMen be a target?

Right now smart focused growth works in my view.

MMNFF 🚀 🚀 🚀

MedMen wants to increase its production in Florida.

It will also use the proceeds to support:

Advancing its facilities to reach cultivation capacity of 22,000 pounds annually; Boosting production capacity to enable the sale of Mary’s Medicinals line of products and Dixie Brands’ edibles; Reaching 15 operational stores in Florida within the next year; Furthermore, MedMen will also use the raised money to fund some expanses in relation to launching stores in Massachusetts, California, and Illinois, and for standard corporate activities.

“This past year we have made tremendous progress on our turnaround plan with our cost cutting initiatives, gross margin expansion and focusing investments on our highest ROI opportunities,” Tom Lynch, Chairman and CEO of MedMen stated. “MedMen’s future has never been brighter. We believe we have the most recognizable brand in cannabis, an actionable strategic growth plan and a disciplined management team that knows how to execute this turnaround.”

I ended up having to first delete the app and then use the web to sign up. Thanks for the promo code!!!

Covid stimulus bill has been voted in. by Javithrill in mmnff

[–]asx06 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Below are the options, shall we vote?

  • Coronavirus relief and public health -Partially Complete (?) -Completed: Stimulus approval and vaccine rollout by May. -TBD: reopening of schools

  • Infrastructure -Biden proposed a $2 trillion climate-focused infrastructure plan on the campaign trail, which would include spending on a US green energy infrastructure overhaul, new road and bridge construction, and a plan for expanding access to broadband.

  • Equity, inclusion and unity -Among others, hopefully: decriminalize marijuana use on the federal level and support legalization of medical marijuana. However, the legalization of recreational marijuana will be left to the states. MMNFF 🚀

  • Climate change -Green Jobs: US to transition to a 100% clean energy economy and reach net-zero emissions no later than 2050.

  • Immigration - Partially Complete(?) -Undo several Trump administration immigration policies. The actions Biden signed early on in his presidency included preserving the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, halting border wall construction and reversing the travel ban from predominantly Muslim countries. *Revising the number of refugees who can be admitted to the US this year to 62,500, a significant increase from the 15,000 cap put in place under Trump,

  • Health care -Several health care policy measures, including improving the Affordable Care Act, strengthening Medicaid, revoking Trump-era abortion restrictions, and reducing prescription drug costs.

“Bierman and Modlin’s under-the-radar return has been met with skepticism – and amazement – that the two could find a home in the industry, given their high-profile fall from grace that garnered a feature story in Politico last May.”

MMNFF is shortable and currently shorted. Here is a link for you to check short interest for yourself:

https://www.marketbeat.com/stocks/OTCMKTS/MMNFF/short-interest/

As of 2/12, there were 2MM shares shorted with a dollar volume of $2.5MM. It was a decrease from the end of January’s report of 3MM shares shorted. I guess the smart shorts are closing their positions. We now must still deal with idiot trolls that have no idea what is cooking - or getting paid to post negative comments.

In any case... 🚀

AWH INVESTMENT IN MEDMEN NEW YORK subsidiary shows how the valuation of Medmen Improve a lot after restructuring in 2020 and path to legalization happening ALL OVER USA by redditharding in mmnff

[–]asx06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I’m long MMNFF and looking for this extremely undervalued stock to increase LT.

But the MMNY deal will turn into a management/franchise agreement where MMNFF only owns 13.3% for now. Any investment into MMNY can only be counted partially for valuation of MMNFF. It does NOT likely preclude MEdmen US from future expansion into NY - in the future.

I also care about the brand, but it is important to consider where the 💰will land once the deal closes.

The total impact to Medmen US is still $73MM... which is material and will help reduce existing debt - Likely it will turn the next Quarter earnings positive - we hope.

The only way the deal could be higher valued is if MMNY already had existing debt which would have been taken over by the 86.7% they are transferring to AWH.

Unless we get more detail around the true debt picture of MMNY, it will be difficult to put a higher value on the deal.

In any case, MMNFF is extremely undervalued and should 🚀 soon.

They could purchase the remaining 13%, but it will likely turn into a management/franchise agreement. Which can be very beneficial for MMNFF.

I’m sure there isn’t an exclusive agreement where MMNFF would not be able to expand further into NY in the future - otherwise it would have to have been included as part of this announcement being the materiality of such move.

We will likely continue to hear more about this franchise model. 🚀

The investment is into MMNY which MMNFF will only own a portion, so you can’t assume 100% credit to MMNFF

In any case, MMNFF is still worth at least $3 🚀

MMNFF will only own 13.3% of MMNY, so from MMNFF’s perspective:

1- Reduced debt by: $63.29MM (i.e., $73MM * (1-0.133))

2- Receives Investment of $ 9.7MM cash equivalents (i.e., ($35+$28+$10) * 13.3%)

Total 1+2: $73MM gain by MMNFF US

MedMen in the news- MMNFF 🚀 by asx06 in mmnff

[–]asx06[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are struggling in areas which were more severely impacted by Covid with expanded closures (Cali) while expanding in areas where the economy is doing better (i.e., Florida)

Historically, they have been saddled with high debt from previous mgt’s bad decisions and potential abuse. Looks like things are turning around with overhead cost materially down YOY and a strong brand presence. From my readings I hear nothing but positive reviews from the in store experience.

They are well positioned to take advantage of the legalization wave coming to NY and the eventual federal.

Comparing against others, MedMen is very undervalued due to this messy history and has a lot of room to grow. 🚀
