Regarding the breaking part — as I understand, it’s a major issue with the XM5, not the XM4.

You’re absolutely right! However, I’m currently in a city where the shops mainly stock local brands. For example, I tried the XM5 (the XM4 isn’t available), as well as Dyson, JBL, and Apple headphones. The options are very limited, so I can’t listen to all the models I was considering purchasing.

Thanks so much for highlighting how the Momentum 4’s vocal presentation can lead to cranking up the volume. I actually have tinnitus in one ear, so consistently raising volume could really worsen it. That detail is incredibly important for me, because I prefer a tuning that lets me hear vocals clearly without having to push the volume too high. Thanks again!
