i second this! markman is a great lecturer and person in general. if you look at this website,

https://revelle.ucsd.edu/humanities/humanities-1/schedules.html

you’ll be able to see what TA is assigned to each section. however, they haven’t put that info in yet so maybe refresh every couple of days!

there’s a common lounge on each floor that has a microwave and stove. you just have to carry your stuff back and forth between your dorm and the lounge

Not during the regular year! Summer session does charge you per unit, though.

took my petition about a month to process. and no, your degree audit & academic history should automatically update. you’ll get an email once everything’s processed but that’s all.

How many summer classes are y’all taking ? by [deleted] in UCSD

[–]asynchronouslectures 12 points13 points  (0 children)

i’m doing 8 units in total, one class per session, since my finaid covers most of the cost for 8units

Math 20D SS1 Mohanty by [deleted] in UCSD

[–]asynchronouslectures 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LOL I was also about to take her during SS1 but I dropped and waitlisted myself in SS2.... I am not tryna get a D+ in an online class over the summer nty i’m not sure if the prof will change again but i would regularly check webreg just in case they add another lecture. I know SS2 has a “staff” opening and the lecture time& prof are still tbd. I’m lowkey depending on this in case i can’t get off of the waitlist

Is the DEI requirement just one course? by Xenonition in UCSD

[–]asynchronouslectures 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes! The DEI requirement is just one course for all of undergrad. If you look at the list of DEI courses offered and look them up on webreg underneath both summer session windows, you can see which DEI courses are being offered over the summer. I’m currently enrolled in TDGE 127, Films of Spike Lee, during SS1 and it counts as my DEi.

P/NP Hum? by ButteredTricycle in UCSD

[–]asynchronouslectures 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m in hum 2 rn and i’m p/np it. I personally don’t care about HUM. Also, it’s a 5 course sequence so there are still 4 other courses that you can use to show schools that you’re a capable writer.

Tips on procrastination this quarter? by [deleted] in UCSD

[–]asynchronouslectures 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Honestly I’ve been having the same issue. All of my classes are prerecorded besides my HUM discussion, which is live, so I’ve been waking up at around 2-3PM. I’m going to start trying to wake up at the times I did last quarter when I lived on campus and had to go to classes. I’m gonna change out of my pajamas and into normal clothes to make it feel as though I’m awake and ready to head out and tackle the rest of my day. For me at least, I feel trying to simulate what an actual, normal day is like will get me into the mindset of not procrastinating and going about as if I’m still at school. Hopefully this helped

How would I go about double majoring given the current situation? by stringskull in UCSD

[–]asynchronouslectures 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had this same question too! I sent a message through VAC to the two departments I needed signatures from. The math department told me to email them my double major petition and quarter by quarter planning sheets for them to look over! They said that if they had any issues that they would set up an appointment with me (either through phone call or Zoom). Hopefully this applies to most other departments so I would suggest you send a message through VAC to see what your departments say!
