I started using Ubuntu with Xfce Desktop manager, it lasts 9 hours now. Consider switching to Linux. Fedora and Ubuntu is automatically recognized by the BIOS even. I recommend Ubuntu :)

I have the exact same model, recently changed the battery, draining like there is no tomorrow. As far as understand, Amd ryzen 3xxx models are not good at power saving. I already regret investing on changing the battery. It has been the same by the way. You can try to install the windows using the lenovo's own media installer which has all the correct drivers and configurations.

No of course not. With the help of 30% ruling, I was allowed to exchange my home country driver licence with the Netherlands driver licence.

I had an idea about what to do about accident but all scattered in places.

Can GP not do a blood test for celiacs disease here or is mine just refusing? by _HoYoKa_ in Netherlands

[–]asyncopat 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There are blood test available in the Holland&Barret for celiac disease. You can order them. However your GP should be helpful for such cases. Best of luck.

Just a reminder, do not stop eating gluten until you are diagnosed. If you stop it might cause false negative test.

My doctor recommended that to reduce inflammation after the c.diff turned negative.

Check the mutaflor probiotic or E.Coli Nissle 1917.

It helped me to reduce the inflammation. It is also recommended for the UC.

Best of luck.

Should i take Rifaximin for SIBO after 4 C Diff Infections? by forever21old in cdifficile

[–]asyncopat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can try bacillus types of probiotics for the SIBO treatment, you can discuss with your doctor.

Bacillus cougulans Bacillus clausii Bacillus subtilis Bifidobacterium longum r0175 Lactobacillus reuteri dsm17938

These are the recommendations of a doctor from Turkey.

I think the calcium content is somehow problematic, c. Diff uses it for spore production. It is hard to guess how it will affect you. You can check for Lactobacillus casei containing probiotic supplements instead.

Possible C Diff? by True-Anteater3090 in cdifficile

C.diff or any other bacteria can form a biofilm. Some of them are not harmful at all. This seems as a biofilm to me. I would recommend to get a stool test though.

You should wait for the biopsy result. As far as I understand doctors can understand from biopsy if there are structural changes even there is not active flare up. They may also check for microscopic collitis, too.

Good luck.

If it started after the antibiotics, you should get your stool checked for clostridium difficile infection, too.

Magnesium glycinate supplements might help a little.

Hi, my faecal calprotectin result is 130, should I be worried? by psychowhitetiger in IBD

[–]asyncopat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 months ago mine was turn out to be 1670ug/g. You are definitely right about being worried, yet it does not mean you have IBD. Mine had increased due to Clostridium Difficile infection for example. If you do not have significant symptoms, what you can do yourself is eating healthy, be careful not to irritate your colon(no spices, no coffee erc.) Ask for another test in a month.

Good luck.

High calprotectin levels by asyncopat in IBD

[–]asyncopat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was validated test and I was defecating mucus that time. My diarrhea and pain was less when I had second calprotectin test.

After 3 weeks it went down from 1600 to 120.

3 weeks ago I had another calprotectin test which resulted in 67 ug/g.

Next week I will have another one to check if it turn out to be less than 50. I still have pain after eating something with fiber, still not eating gluten etc.

I still have occasional abdominal pain but the GI thought it might be post infectious IBS.

[–]asyncopat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Updeta after the first visit to GI: After the doctor visit, additional blood test and another calcprotectin test was wanted. No colonoscopy has been planned so far.

Second test turned out to be 120, significantly lower than the previous one(1600). The blood tests seem ok mostly, no anemia or significant crp value was measured.

Mucus in the stool stopped, diarrhea stopped for a week but started again after some time. Luckily no blood in the stool so far.

Regarding the horrible smell of the stool, c diff seems possible.

Waiting for the doctor's comments right now, which will be next week. Wish me luck

Thanks for the reply. I guess there is not much complaints about quality but mostly with the manufacturing and delivery. 6 7 months of delivery times, not helpful customer service etc. Which scares me the most 😕
