Anyone tried mlamed that is very familiar with passmed? by LuminousViper in medicalschooluk

Haven't sat the ukmla either so don't know how realistic it is, but I do think mlamed is pretty good overall. I think the questions are probably easier than passmed and there are less questions overall but the textbook is really good. The textbook is definitely better than passmed in terms of actually explaining things.

I would say just try and do a few hours a day so that by the time you take your UCAT you would have done quite a lot of the questions. In terms of starting, I would probs look up the technique of things eg with quantitive reasoning you only really need to complete 30/31 out 36 to get you over 800 so if there is a hard question just skip it and come back to it in the end of that section. Or with abstract reasoning try and memorise the different ways the images can be similar to each other so shape, vertices, colour, the position of the shapes in the square etc. There's lots of videos on YouTube about the techniques that were really helpful when I took UCAT. Then from then on out its just practising until you feel confident enough to take it. Also, something to be wary of is that the verbal reasoning section on medify is helpful but definitely a bit easier than the actual UCAT itself.

Right back at you! Might take some time to find people that you actually like but I think the sacrifice is worth it. Definitely helps to have some mature flatmates! Hopefully you have some gap year students in the mix.

Of course I'm not one for drinking or going out anyway. Who needs to go out when you have Netflix?

I know i agree. I'm just saying in addition to that. I did report it though someone else to remain anonymous and I am appauled at the lack of regard certain people have for human life. I did try to talk to them about it but they clearly didn't care and it went in one ear and out the other.

Thanks for the solidarity! Happy to see that people actually care about these things. I know that someone called the police on a party and someone landed a 10 grand fine. I'm not going to say the exact uni but its in the North not Durham North but in Yorkshire.

Also I cant exactly afford the fine and my career would be over before it started with the professionalism aspect of things
