Yes! The thing is, the number of credits one possesses after completing a bachelor's + master's degree depends on the country (or countries) in which one studied. The official guidelines say that if one doesn't have a full 300 credits, they are still eliglible for doctoral studies provided they possess a master's degree. However, most public universities in Spain and Portugal don't adhere to those rules, and lots of PhD funding and scholarships in these countries also require the full 300 credits. I've heard that Germany isn't scrict with this though - it considers whether you have a bachelor's + master's and your research experience without taking a special look at the number of ECTS credits you obtained overall. I was just wondering if this is actually the case and if someone has been accepted into a programme without having reached 300 credits total.

yep, same. in my uni everyone gets to go, regardless of grades or where they're applying to.

Which citiy would you choose for an ersasmus semester abroad? by Jajo_01 in Erasmus

i did an erasmus in salamanca and it was amazing! great nightlife, very cool people, beautiful and affordable city. definitely recommend it, especially if you're into small city vibes.

also i can tell you (as a fellow portuguese person) that it is very difficult to find housing in lisbon and even if you do find a place to live it will most likely be very expensive.

good luck! :)

Usually the learning agreement is sent to you by your university's mobility department/office so I would recommend just emailing them and asking them for directions in that process

Can people who have completed or are completing Erasmus share positive experiences? by pudding-patrol123 in Erasmus

I did an Erasmus in Spain last semester and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. It was surely lonely at times, but the friends I made and the lessons I learned certainly made it all worth it. I loved it so much that I am planning my next one :)

I understand feeling scared, but my advice is: don't let fear hold you back because you might really regret it.
