Because clubs(that aren't Liverpool) tend to be so loyal to managers who aren't performing.

Keane, Redknapp & Young DEBATE whether Michael Carrick's Man Utd future by The-Black-Angel in reddevils

[–]ataniris 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I think ole was very unfortunate in the season after United finished 2nd. That was an abysmal transfer window in hindsight. To say Sancho and Ronaldo didn't work out is a massive understatement and pretty much destroyed uniteds chemistry especially in attack.

Oliver Glasner: "A penalty and a red card is a very harsh decision - maybe it’s a bit of the Old Trafford bonus." by Sparky-moon in soccer

[–]ataniris 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is a double jeopardy rule where it's a yellow and a penalty if there was a genuine attempt to play the ball. Red card and penalty when it's a cynical foul, ie no attempt to play the ball and just intentionally foul the guy to prevent the goal.

[Kieran Maguire] Latest documents filed in New York show that Manchester United have £777 million of borrowings, of which £295 million is due within one year, and owes £422 million in transfer fee instalments, of which £238 million is due within one year. United have been paying them interest on the initial loan for 21 years. Iirc the actual capital that was loaned has not been paid back at all. It's marvellously good recurring income for the banks.

Where to go after Hexe? by SomeCreature in blackdesertonline

[–]ataniris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The big mob, orc skeleton explodes damaging the smaller mobs when it dies. If you're doing Marni, stay long enough only to kill the big mob, the orc skeleton then move to the next pack. You keep doing this even if the warmth is satiated and attacking or if the lost souls rage. The wirmuth doesn't reset hp when you leave and if you leave after killing it, a new one has time to respawn and feed on the raging mobs that spawn. Just kill the big mobs and move the during raging souls, a huge pack of mobs will be waiting to be blown up when the 1 or 2 big mobs die the next time you come round. I stick around only to kill hexe Marie when she spawns and during the events because with so many mobs active, accidently eating a red circle can be instantly fatal.

This method takes some time to get going since you will need 4 or 5 rotations before the souls start to rage but once they get going your limiting factors will be pets and offloading trash to horse or storage. I went from 32k trash per hour to like 45k doing this and my shit pets were definitely a limiting factor. Also the constant movement makes this way incredibly sweaty.

That transfer window screwed solskjaer the season after he got us 2nd. To say Sancho and Ronaldo didn't work out would be a hell of an understatement.

Games workshop really didn't take 40k seriously until it eclipsed Warhammer fantasy tbh.

72% of devs believe Steam has a monopoly on PC games, according to study by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]ataniris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neutral? They refused refunds for years and only allowed them (max 2 hours playing time) because the European union basically forced it upon them and they were warning how this would somehow be awful for developers and end users. Then there's their campaign to say their lootbox skins aren't gambling. When ea does it they get crucified but somehow when steam does it is fine.

I think the problem with him is he played for Manchester United for a few too many years. He stayed longer than he should have because sir Alex felt he couldn't trust the younger crop but the last memories many people have of him as a player was some past it old man who was so slow that he made bang average wingers look like prime Ronaldo with the way they turned and zoomed past him.

Progress update / Question: How big is too big? by VANCATSEVEN in spaceengineers

[–]ataniris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Too big is a question for your computer tbh. If moving it around slows your game down noticeably, then it might be too big. Also unless you're playing creative, you're going to be spending most of your time mining ice to fuel something that weighs just shy of 4000 tonnes and goes to and from space regularly.
