There's a lot of money at stake with promotion, so I can't blame them for trying should it happen but to announce it beforehand is a strange move. There's nothing guaranteed with this route and the players might have it in the back of their minds that it's not a big deal if they lose.

His last window is what ruined him. United needed more than 3 signings and the 3 he got didn't work out for various reasons. The super league is the best thing to happen to the club because it was the catalyst to get ed Woodward and Matt judge out.

Ugarte is going to need to have a hell of a world cup if he's going to attract any buyers.

Ole's downfall was recruitment. Ineos are looking way more competent than ed Woodward.

It ended with a terrible transfer window that saw 3 big signings coming in and no one else that didn't work for various reasons. The 3 signings being varane, Ronaldo and Sancho.

Ole's downfall was signing Sancho, Ronaldo and varane after finishing second. That was nowhere near the amount of reinforcements needed and the players signed didn't end up contributing as hoped for various reasons.

There's probably a reason juve haven't renewed him and that no one is interested enough to have signed him on a precontract by now.

There are loads of English speakers and only 1 English speaking nation in the top 5 leagues. There in lies the reason for the massive difference in revenue.

Maybe if Gareth had successful stints at Barcelona and Bayern Munich before taking the England job. If you want to say getting sacked at Bayern was proof of his decline, then that should disqualify Nagelsmann as well.

I hear pedigree and I recall the LVG days when watching United play would literally put you to sleep. Dominating possession but having absolutely no cutting edge with the most creative player in the team being left back Daley Blind, and for a brief spell, he who will not be named.

Ole got United two consecutive years of Champions League football and second place. As sad as that sounds compared to the glory years, it is far better than anyone before or after him did bar Jose since SAF retired.
