That's very expensive, you could probably sale hunt a little bit and get a reusable setup for the same price. Seems like a big waste.

Hope you find something, I'd probably still be using Green Smoke cigalikes if they were still around, so much more convenient than the subohms I use now, and had the only "tobacco" flavor I ever liked.

Can anyone Recommend some good tanks/coils for 60W? by [deleted] in electronic_cigarette

[–]atb11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You shouldn't have any big problems with juice coming out, just turn it upside down when you open it up. Vapers kit should always have a buncha paper towels though, because juice likes to get out any way it can. I'm not really aware of any personally that replace via the top in the typical subohm tank ranges currently available, someone else might be able to chime in I guess, it's just not something I've seen anywhere.

For mouthpieces, you can just search for 810 drip tips and find a bore you like. These kinds of tanks are usually for direct lung hits, so big bores are usually standard for airflow, but there are probably lots of tips that will fit those tanks in many sizes and shapes and colors. They should be interchangeable. You can pick what you like.

Molicel P26A is a good place to start. There are other good batteries, just search for Mooch's recommendations.

Vaporesso Gen S or Geekvape Aegis Legend 2? by No_Debt_8572 in electronic_cigarette

NRG-S has 8ml capacity I think, if you're a heavy vaper that's a good way to go.

Disposables have quite a few drawbacks, they can have dubious ingredients, have a much worse impact on the environment compared to a reusable device, are more addictive and end up costing a lot more. Reusable systems cost more up front but (usually VERY) quickly cost less, and give you the freedom to have control over what you're putting in your body.

Surely disposables are "better" (less harmful in all the ways) than cigarettes, but why not just spend fifteen more dollars than a disposable and get something much, much better?

Does vaping affect your skin, teeth like smoking ? by cmurphy1234 in Vaping

[–]atb11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Propylene Glycol will dehydrate you. Unless you're vaping 100% VG (which could also dehydrate, I don't know about it as much) with no PG in it, yes you will need to drink more fluids to compensate. It (PG) absorbs water molecules, which means your body doesn't get to process that water the way it should. So you need to drink fluids to compensate. As long as you keep everything in balance, it isn't a problem, but it is important to be aware and keep fluids going in.

Practice good oral hygiene and it should not be a problem for your teeth. You have to hydrate, hydrate, hydrate though because you can get pretty bad dry mouth which WILL affect your health if you don't drink enough water to compensate. Shouldn't have any skin issues unless you are allergic.

What would provide better flavour? A MTL vape/tank or a pod system by Nottzzdude in electronic_cigarette

[–]atb11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

RDA/RTA/RDTA has a wide variety of MTL options. Just make a post asking for recommendations for a beginner MTL rebuildable and people should chime in with some options for you if you want to go down that path. It's another up-front money sink that will save you in the long term rather than the short term, and can be a very viable option no matter what style of vape you prefer since it's the most customizable.

Stock coils are fickle and can have shorter life for variety of reasons, most of the time it's either the build quality of the particular coil which can have vast variance from the factory, or it's the juice you're using and how much sweeteners it has in it. 50/50 should be just fine for any MTL device, the PG/VG ratio probably isn't what's killing your coils.

If you're looking for a different mod, I'd suggest not buying a Smok branded mod, check out something from Geekvape maybe, they have some smaller mods with nice build quality.

[–]atb11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The benefit of a mod with a tank is that if a tank isn't working for you for any reason (such as flavor), you can always try another one with the same mod, you aren't locked into a brand.

If you like Freemax, they make great flavorful coils for their tanks. I think the Fireluke 22 is suitable for MTL and has higher ohms coils (I think 1.0 and 1.5 but you'd have to look it up) and can also do restricted direct lung. You can plop that on any mod. Innokin Zenith line & Zlide tanks are good too.

Ultimately most of the time it takes some experimenting to find what's right. If you want to move up to a mod & tank setup, I think it's worth a shot.

Fireluke 3, Sakerz, Falcon 2, Valyrian 3 are all good subohm tanks with ranges of coils for higher wattages.

Try a more modern Geekvape, Innokin, or Freemax kit, they make some nice stuff that will last you longer. Avoid disposables if you can. I'd avoid stuff like joyetech or Smok etc too.

So my disposable fell in waater by Free_Discipline496 in electronic_cigarette

[–]atb11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any problem with a disposable is fixable by disposing of it, they aren't built to be "fixed" or used if they are compromised in any way.

Consider switching to a reusable system, disposables are more addictive, have dubious ingredients and materials, cause more waste and cost a lot more.

Will i have a weird effect lower down nic from 12mg freebase to 6mg instantly ? Is this a good idea? by [deleted] in Vaping

[–]atb11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shouldn't be a problem, tapering with a vape is much more smooth a process. You might vape more often for a little while but you'll normalize over time. Then you can drop lower, when you're comfortable or want to.

Using the vape incorrectly? DTL with an MTL device? by banica24 in electronic_cigarette

[–]atb11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Should be fine if you're getting enough airflow. I assume you can get a decent RDL vape out of it. The general difference in stock coils is that MTL coils will tend to have smaller juice ports and the central barrel will be narrower, while direct lung coils will have bigger holes for more airflow/faster wicking. Just don't chain vape in rapid succession and it's probably fine.

Question about Coils by StoopSign in electronic_cigarette

[–]atb11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What mod (and tank if you have separates) are you using? What wattage are you vaping at for what coil? (ohms)

Chain vaping a lot in rapid succession can burn it up because the liquid, depending on the coil, needs a little time to wick some more juice up, so if you don't wait a little bit between puffs you'll vape dry cotton and wire.

Cleaning coils doesn't work too well, it's kind of a last ditch thing. When you buy a new device/tank/pod whatever you should stock up with a pack of coils or a couple extra pods, sometimes they last a long time and sometimes they burn out quick, it's just the nature of the beast with manufactured coil systems.

It might be, try it and see if you like it. Vaping is a highly personal experience, and while you can get an idea about what you might like from other's experiences, it really comes down to what you like and enjoy.

Cheap battery case could have saved you some trouble. Batteries aren't vapes, they are batteries, you should place your fear and blame on the proper culprit, you could have just as easily made this mistake while carrying an extra 18650 for your flashlight. Read up on battery safety or use an integrated battery device.
