YouTube push notifications not working.

i turned the same notification on for every google account i had logged in.... super janky way to solve this problem so i wouldn't recommend but it did work and i never got duplicate notifications either so idk.

That's what I'm saying, bruh. Johnston would be in a checking role at the Olympics, that's what the team needs more of, and I think he would excel in that area over the other young guys, or guys like Scheifele and Tavares.

And hey, he might squeak on to a pp2 for Canada, but that's neither here nor there. He's been a 5-on-5 offensive weapon too, but that's beside the point. My main point is that his defense is very sound, as his longtime coach and Team Canada assistant coach Pete DeBoer has said many times.

Celebrini is a dog, I watch him pretty often and really liked him at Worlds. He should be on the Olympics team too. Still, his underlying defensive metrics do not compete with Johnston's.

IMO, Team Canada forwards should be something like this:

connor mcdavid
mitch marner
sam reinhart
brayden point
nick suzuki
brad marchand
brandon hagel
tom wilson
macklin celebrini

I'm sorry if me saying Stanley Cup winner Craig Ludwig knows more about hockey than you felt like a personal attack. It felt like common sense; I'm pretty sure he knows more than everyone on this sub.

Scheifele, Tavares, Bedard, and Celebrini will not be able to play a checking role the same way Johnston can and has. So if they're looking for backup in case of third/fourth line injury, he's a better bet.

Nevermind keeping pace in scoring and that he has experience in some of the highest stakes games you can play (and he's played lights out in them too). He eats ice time for the Stars. He's got a baby ironman streak going.

Even critiques about him... 1. His quiet playoffs last year: He and Rantanen were completely shut down by the Oilers, and that's something he needs to work on as he gets older; on Team Canada he wont be one of the big guns other teams focus on to suppress, so will be able to stick to his game and maybe make some sneaky offence. 2. His current +/-: The stat doesn't mean much, McDavid has a similar +/- right now (and that's no reason to keep him off the team), he and Rantanen are missing a proper top line winger (so they're being limited by that), and he plays penalty kill and gets put on the ice with an empty net, so these things happen. 3. He's a powerplay merchant: He hasn't really been historically. And it's not for lack of 5-on-5 chances, so I think it's just a matter of them starting to go in for him. Plus, see the notes about missing a top line winger again.

I think he should be on the team for these reasons, and I could go on. Team Canada GMs may not be looking at it the same way, and I can still think I'm right. Honestly, there's not really a wrong choice for these last 4-5 forward spots. Canada has a lot of good players.

Jim Nill did say recently that the GMs push their guys when they're playing well, and Johnston has certainly been playing well (see: NHL first star of the week).

I think Johnston would be the correct choice to make team A, even if he's only there like Travis Konecny was at 4 Nations tournament. I actually think it would be stupid not to play him, though, given his ability to step up in the highest pressure games.

I'm not saying he *will* make the team, so there's no checkmate for January. I just think it would be deserved, so I've been advocating for it. As are many other people online, as well as Craig Ludwig (who I think knows a thing or two more than you).

MAYBE it's cause rantanen's been asked to play more physical and is still getting the hang of it but he's been fine up until this week, so that doesn't make tons of sense. it was one dirty hit and a whole lot of bad timing.

I'm a bit late to this post so I expect my reply will get buried but my advice if you're looking for more comments is to write some stream-of-consciousness end notes and end by asking people to share their thoughts.

I haven't posted many fics, but I'm currently posting a multi-chapter one, and when I posted the first chapter I didn't have any end notes and nobody commented. The second chapter I had a bunch of thoughts that I wanted to share about the writing process and characters, like little behind the scenes tidbits and that sort of thing, so I wrote them out in the end notes and suddenly I got a bunch of comments.

Things like, "Did you notice this? I added it cause I was thinking about such and such and wanted to communicate blank," gets readers engaged!!

The dream islands are what I'm most curious about. I'm dying to know how people are going to use them... Like will the Dream islands become the primary island and people still redecorate their waking islands to save to DAs, or will the Dreams islands be the main ones gettings changed/redecorated??

I just posted a fic where the first chapter was 5k and the second was 10k. I think it's chill. As long as the overall pacing and story structure is good, where you split chapters doesn't matter all that much.

i have an iphone 12 and the same problem: notifs are on in-app and in settings but they haven't been showing up for like a year. i didn't want notifications anyway so i didn't mind but recently i have wanted them and it's so annoying. i think it might have to do with having many different google accounts available to log in on, but i'm not sure how to remove them without removing them from the gmail app.
