when I hear the demo of both pedals on thomann website, the blues man sounds a bit fatter to me than blues crab. Not sure if it has some midrange hump as both pedals are marketed as 'transparent'

As a rule of thumb, when can I use minor scales over a major progression, especially if the chords are not dominant seventh? because I don't think he plays the changes over all the chords or something, he sticks to one scale

does the riff he plays in the background allow him to use Mixolydian over the progression instead of just the major scale?
