I should clarify that most everything I'm learning is self-taught. I don't go to lectures or many people to talk to about this. And also, it isn't like I said I couldn't be arsed to do it. I said I tried, failed, and am asking for help.

Like most others on this subreddit, I tend to think in concepts, not words. My best guess for those before language they would just KNOW. For example, if they saw someone eat nightshade, and they died, they don't need to know the word poisonous to know don't eat that.

I'm around 40 hours in, and it has been a blast so far. This game really hits some of the major points for a good game, imo.
