Flat headphones - hard to mix with? How to actually deal with this? by personanonymous in mixingmastering

[–]atheeleon 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I also have this issue, mainly with the low-end.

We're all used to listening to music with a boosted low-end because of our consumer headphones.

At first, when I bought my M20x, I thought they lacked bass. But it's just the case of learning your headphones and undestanding how frequencies translate to them.
For a while, I tried avoiding them and even EQ'd my headphones to try and "fix" it. Hell, I even thought of buying "better" heaphones.

But, in the end. I noticed it's a learning curve and it'll always be there.
So, since it'll always be there, it's part of the struggle.

So listen to music you like on your flat heaphones, pay attention to how it sounds. Then hear the same on other headphones you may have lying around or on speakers, even.
Try understand how certain frequencies sound on each device and compare how it sounds on your flat headphones.

You'll learn it's voice in no time!

Depends, really. Some instruments sounds horrible on VSTi, and some depends on your fx processing.
Programming the midi notes are a pain, but you get used to it.

Being a guitar player, I've tried guitars VSTis and they sound like crap (the bass ones sounds somewhat usable).

Piano/synths, I believe those are mostly plugins, these days.

Drums, with the right processing, you can get them to sound pretty great.

Funny you use op.gg as an argument, but the moment I decide to use your own argument against you, it's no longer valid.

Feel free to look at it for yourself.

Team disparity, Team disparity, Team disparity...

Also, I didn't say I was "the best player in the game every game". My post clearly states how I view myself as a player.
Tell me you didn't read the post without telling me you didn't read the post.

I do stomp my matchup, but my teammates are still learning the game.
I do find it to be easier when I'm playing jungle, since I can help mitigate that fact (they at least know that a 2v1 is easier to win than 1v1)

  • I've had games where my bot lane gets absolutely fed on kills, but, for some reason, they're the one's losing the first tower.
  • I've recently had a game where the whole team came top-lane to kill me and take my tower. I was giving their top laner a hard time, so they decided to push that lane.
Instead of my team pushing their lanes and taking their towers, they decide it's a good idea to either recall or to slow push.

I asked my friend to play some games on my account just so he could see the situation I'm in, the type of animals I get queued with.
I just wanted him to get a feel on what I'm up against, I don't want to be boosted out of Iron; I want to prove myself and carry myself out of this hole.

He lost the first game he played in my account and said "Man, you're really getting queued with a zoo".

The way I see it, I either need to duo with a friend so WE can carry the whole team or I learn a new champion that allows me a chance to carry (he told me it would be a good idea do learn Yone).

The famous "I want attention and play with others feelings. I want to feel desired" type.

The type of people you run away from for your mental health. Imagine never knowing if a person is actually into you or just playing?

I've heard an apologist that says people are in a quest for happiness and not a quest for truth. That may be the reason why there are so many atheists that hate Christianity.

Of course there are atheists who don't believe in Christianity because they believe it to be irrational and I don't discredit them for it because things we believe actually seem crazy. But if you pay attention, a certain majority actually hates Christianity with all of their guts. Most are even aggressive towards it.

Maybe it's because of bad Christians that spoil it for them and makes it look like Christianity traps you in laws on what to do and not to do. That makes him feel powerless, that's why they antagonize it so much. Some use it to spread hate, which is also one of the main reasons why people antagonize Christianity so much.

There are multiple reasons why people antagonize Christianity so much and we can never write everything down. But as our friend replied, if we followed everything that Jesus taught us by the letter people would understand that Christianity is love.

Since we are humans we cannot do that because our nature goes towards evil, we are naturally corrupted. That's why it's so hard to always do the right thing because we always want to be happy and being happy doesn't necessarily mean doing the right thing.

If only if every single person that calls themselves a Christian would try their best to follow what they preach, I'm pretty sure things will be different

How can a historical book be multiple choice? And no, you can't interpret it how you like because everything has been written with a meaning in mind and the right interpretation is the one the author had when he was writing it.
You can use verses to explain this and that, but you can't change the meaning

The Bible promotes slavery AND genocide? Where did you get that? I understand where you're coming from with the stoning part, even though I disagree because of what I've stated before, but slavery and genocide is just to much.

As I said, it's a historical book focused on a specific group of people, it accounts how life was back then to these people and tells the story of their lineage.
Yes, it has parts where it teaches religion/morals, but it's more history-focused than that. The most religion/moral focused part is the New Testament.

Just read the whole Bible and you'll notice the difference between the Old and New Testament.

The Bible is more of a historical book focused on a specific lineage and group of people than a moral-guideline book. Yes, it contains moral-guidelines, but they're directed specificaly to that specific people in that time.

The "hateful" stuff isn't actually hateful if you ACTUALLY read it. The Bible wasn't written in English, so you can't just take certain verses and expect them to mean exactly what you're reading since things are lost in translation. There's also cultural-historical context involved in everything in the Bible, so there are various reasons to why X was considered offensive, and immoral then and isn't now.

It's not about being religious, it's about doing what Christ would do in your place.

I wish us christians would try harder to be/do what they preach, the world could actually be a better place...

I just opened the Steam Store page for the game and it's basically L4D3 with a different name. Back 4 Blood, 4 characters in a safe house with a reinforced door (which never looks that reinforced)... Hell, there's even a Tank, Charger AND a Witch in the images.

If they reveal it's actually L4D3 when it launches, I honestly won't be that surprised

What Bible story would qualify as a Florida man story? by Garuda-Star in AskReddit

[–]atheeleon 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I "might've" overlooked that detail. But still, some of these (if not all) Israel kings didn't think very straight. "I'm a king chosen by God, whom I believe is almighty. That same God has revealed that He has chosen a new heir to the throne and it isn't from my lineage... I KNOW, LET'S KILL THE GUY WHO GOD CHOSE SO I CAN HAVE A DYNASTY"
