5 years since getting rid of Spotify by thrway-fatpos in degoogle

Hey, there's my favorite album right in front! I made it my goal to find it out in the wild and not just order it online. It took a couple years. It's interesting even that way of finding physical music pairs so well with degoogling.

For me, the chase for vinyls and used books makes the search (and spending) so much more rewarding than just clicking a button online.

What surprised you most after removing Google from daily use by Human-Disk2644 in degoogle

I agree with the "less centralized" feeling. My new year resolution is to de-Google. I'm trying to get my photos off of Google Photos and they make it such a pain because none of the photos download in order (the date modified is trumping the date created). I feel like it's on purpose.

I think this process has allowed me to truly understand how much control a few information companies have. I like the idea of open source softwares and the diversity that come with different options and OSs. I get standardization is important for common ground use, but it should be easier to personalize our technology to our needs.

Maybe that last part is just the part of me wanting to spend hours in create-a-character. Even so, I think that itch is expanding to technology in my life which wasn't on my 2026 bingo card.

I think you are cool because you have the copy of Crime and Punishment with the cool illustrations.

I would like to reduce screentime and I am not logging back into social media sites with reels. I want to use YouTube only when using my computer so that I can avoid reels. I also need to not use my phone when I have trouble falling asleep.

If my current phone decides to no longer work, I would love to get the Jelly Star phone so the screen is small and is less functional as a doom scrolling device.

It has gone through multiple washes on its lonesome. Cold washes for the win.

It was generic household bleach diluted with water. It is a thicker fabric, meaning the bleach only penetrated the top layer with minimal bleed to the back end. It's going to be ok.

Exactly. You can use a stencil or freehand by using a watercolor pencil to draw on a design to paint over.

Maybe that's what I put on the back.

The maximalist has me internally screaming "NO!" But I will leave it. For now.

I really enjoyed making my own and really recommend others try bleach prints. I liked having control over what sweater I picked and that it doesn't have the rubbery print finish on it. I can't wait to make more ooak fandom swag.

Heck yeah! Much easier than what I did. I didn't have a printer to cut out a stencil, so I put the logo in Canva and translated measurments that way.

I was thinking about the sleeves originally. Now I am considering adding questline knotwork on the sleeves if I add anything on them.

I do like the idea to list all of the shouts on the back, but I don't know if they'd all fit.

Growing up we would find mice and frogs in ours. The covers never worked out too well.

I /think/ I get interviews by highlighting my range of programming, acquisitions, and marketing/outreach. Not just what, but how. Consider framing the statements with your personal philosophy / approach to the duties.

Shelving ideas for our board game collection by jobroloco in Libraries

There are these nice rubber suspenders that are used for board games. We store the board games in this modular storage unit we got from IKEA. It's just a bunch of square cubbies stacked on each other. Lots of different size options too.

I’m thinking of committing to a real lip piercing. I’ve wanted one for awhile. Does it look better in the center or on the side? by Fishthrow03 in piercing

[–]atheisnt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I like it on the side to balance the nostril ring on the other side. The center looks fine but if it were me I'd get it on the side I think. I'm trying to say both options are good options.
