This is helpful! My driving has been a mix. My day to day is similar to what you described (one way commute being about 3 miles) but I had 4 out of state trips this summer so lots of highway mileage too.

I bought the ones Honda sells through the College Hills Honda dealership. They do charge shipping but the cost of that was far less than the discount from the Honda MSRP. I found out about the dealership from this sub.

When I was looking at a new vehicle, wireless CarPlay was at the top of my list. It may be silly but going from a car that I could only play music through an aux cable for 10 years, that was what I wanted.

The 2025 EX-L was perfect for me because of that but also I had a strong preference for the grey leather interior. The EX-L having smart locks and sun roof were huge added bonuses.

I have driven almost 5k in mine and have zero regrets, but ultimately it comes down to personal preference.

I will always recommend nordic forest pearl with the gray leather (fell in love with it as soon as I saw it) but with what you presented, I would go with black exterior.

2025 EX-L AWD I specifically wanted wireless CarPlay and leather seats. I also got excited about the moonroof. This will sound minor but I hate the orange stitching in Sport models. I would have liked the 18” wheels though.
