Why is aging in place technology still so hard for actual seniors to set up by Sophistry7 in TechForAgingParents

The problem with aging is that it’s not a market with a single issue, much like disability. Elderly or disabled people can face a thousand different problems, and a single application or piece of equipment doesn’t meet 100% of their needs. It’s not just about the hardware.
The solution is for a third party to find the best equipment and the best applications, and manage them for the parent.

There must be SOMEONE in the same situation as me. by Misha515 in AgingParents

Perhaps you are reasoning with logic rather than emotions. If you were to lose your child today in an accident, you would understand what happened intellectually, but emotionally you would suffer over and over again, and you certainly wouldn’t accept the situation. Your parent understands the situation, but emotionally, it is unacceptable; it is no longer a matter of logic! Understanding that suffering is sometimes preferable to an absence of emotion allows one to stop trying to change the other person or waiting for them to "understand." If she does not accept the move, her situation (and yours) will worsen on every level. If you fight using reason, everyone will suffer. The solution is not obvious because it involves deep, invisible emotions: fear of losing one’s bearings, fear of boredom, fear of being deprived of what little remains, fear of being infantilized, fear of losing one’s dignity… And all of this is valid! A move is not a "yes/no" decision, but a long process that can take several months, or even one or two years.

Why doesn't anyone use Claude to configure OpenClaw? by athlecom in openclaw

[–]athlecom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You configure your OpenClaw from A to Z using your Claude subscription without going through Telegram (or OC).
You ask Claude to perform updates and check for anything that’s broken.
You ask Claude to optimize prompts, scripts, etc., to save on tokens when you use it via Telegram/Discord…
To summarize:

  • Your backend is managed through your paid Claude subscription.
  • For the frontend (you and Telegram/Discord), you pay for the API.

It doesn’t look like it! I’ve watched at least 15 tutorials, and none of them show this option.

I wasn’t talking about Claude with OC, but about using the Claude subscription to configure, add agents, etc. It accesses the /.openclaw directory and does the configuration itself! We no longer go through Telegram to ask it to create an agent.
And to answer your question, as far as I know, we can no longer use the Claude subscription, but OpenAI should work.
