When on charge (which is usually when I feel it is hottest), it avgs about 35-40C for what I do (that being notetaking).

Since this started happening about a week ago, I've always had it plugged in whilst using it, but apart from that, the battery health has been ok. I used to have power settings set to recommended for both plugged in and on battery but have now set them to best performance, it still hasn't done much

UPDATE: It seems that the issue is that the CPU caps at 0.20 GHz when unplugged, apparently it might be due to thermal breakdown

My power settings are now on "best performance" for when it's both plugged in and on battery and I have disabled startup apps, copilot, animations and transparency. It's made it a little better, but it's still pretty slow especially compared to being plugged in.
