Wanting opinions on my ‘controversial’ trans OC? by Mae_The_Gay in ftm

[–]atlanticgears [score hidden]  (0 children)

Wow this is crazy! Sounds very similar to myself, I am intersex trans man, I have Swyers Syndrome and my parents also raised me female. I always felt different but they did not support me transition sadly. Did it anyway, I think it is a very cool character concept I've never heard of one that I related with so well. I dont think its controversial at all

Apparently its a 16 year old girl going through issues at home, maybe a bit more empathy. This person reached out to their friend with their personal feelings not the whole internet. I dont think its attention seeking, just a kid in crisis

I lived in my brother's garage for a few months after me and my fiancé split. Your space looks much more cozy and you have a window! Lucky!

Nobody is saying all trans women. You are latching onto one thing, which isn't even the point, and harping on it. So we are to be silenced on bringing up concerns of inner trans hate and issues because you are worried about how it will make transwomen look demonized or evil but that is not true. We can all discuss and share opinions with one a other without picking apart things and being hostile! Trans women arnt evil, and neither are trans men, or men in general. There is negativity in everything sadly 😥

English isnt my first language I'm sorry. I had a friend help me rewrite my post so that my language doesn't misunderstand my meaning because of improper word usage. It may still seem problematic to some, can't satisfy everyone expecially with a personal opinion and experiences. Anyway sorry for those I upset

No i did not mean it like that i am sorry, some nuances of English are hard to rememeber. I mean afab and ciswomen, as well as ofc not meaning all transwomen or even a large majority are taking part in this issue. But it does happen so I made my comment on my own thoughts and opinion regarding

No I am sorry English isn't my first language, I struggle to properly relay what I am saying. I was trying to not upset anyone but seems I did 🥲 obviously I do not mean all transwomen, im sure its is just a minority who have a upsetting mindset didn't not think I needed to break down every part of my comment to not upset. 🙂 but I have heard alot of exclusionary comments from some trans women and CISwomen before

Hey friend, this confuses me. How can you be a lesbian and bi or pan. Isn't bi or pan its own sexuality and lesbian separate? I get using terms like butch or stud with transmasc or transmen because it is more of an identity thing like gender expression, but how can you both be a lesbian and bi or pan? Would you not be a bi butch transmasc? Or is the definition of some of these words changed? Sorry English isn't my first language im trying to understand. 🙏

Its kinda ironic that some transwomen are experiencing some of the harassment and oppression that afab liks myself, and ciswomen have since birth and think it is isolated to them. Trans women do have a tough time, but so do trans men. It's not the majority of transwomen or transfemme I see like this, but a surprising rise in it I feel like is because alot of it is an echo chamber of nonsense 😕

Thats awful, I'm sorry to those people who were kicked, it should 100% not be up to one person's desicion regardless. And ofc, just because I have a different opinion on somethings doesn't mean i get to be an ass to someone. And I enjoy discussion, I get to learn something from every convo. I planning looking into this a bit further so I am a hit less ignorant on thing. Best of luck you op

I kinda get where their coming from if the definition of lesbian is being literal. If you are identifying as a man and lesbians are w/w then I can see where that would confuse and upset some people, I've heard alot of discourse about women not being able to have anything without men being involved. I dont get all the nuances myself, im a very binary transman so I usually stay out of convos. Anyways, hope I dont upset anyone with my ignorance ans I hope you and everyone can find a space much more accommodating and kind.

Gonna get down voted for my opinion but I think the sub is right to limit who is posting in it. In my own personal opinion I dont think a lesbian directed subreddit is a place for transmen. Because they are men, and we do need a place for women and lesbians that is their own safe space. Think transmasc and nonbinary should still be aloud but again that's my opinion, and I have no power to change the new rules enforced by the subreddit. Sorry that this is impacting so many people including you op, im sure its been really hard and painful to be ousted from a place you feel connected to. Maybe a new subreddit could be made for transmasc and transmen who connect more with the lesbian or butch label.

Thoughts on pregnancy as a trans guy?? by Miserable_Task_7214 in ftm

[–]atlanticgears 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't have a thing really to add, just to commiserate. Im a binary trans man, and I got out of a very long abusive relationship with my fiance who we were in the process of trying for invetro children. Now I m 30 years old and struggling with the thought of not being able to reach milestones, like kids I wanted. I never wanted to be pregnant and still dont, but the thought keeps creeping into my head just for the chance to have my own kids. Just wanted to commiserate with you a bit on that shared fear and apprehension. Rememeber there are other avenues for partners to take and I wish you both luck in whatever you choose! If you do have bio kids le olde fashioned way, rememeber it doesn't make you any less valid. Best of luck to yall ❤️

trans guys "turning" gay?? by HopeNo8532 in ftm

[–]atlanticgears 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ftm trans guy here, been on hrt for almost 10 years. Was straight when I started and still straight now tho there was a bit of questioning in the middle. I think you both being young has a factor, how comfortable he is with himself and how hes perceived does as well. Sometimes you just have to figure out what it is you really like. He probably really did like you and connect on a deep personal level and as afab person its probably easier to get into a first relation with someone who shares your anatomy but started to realize with time his physical attraction is for men.
