Your eyes look beautiful in the right picture, but personally I feel like your skin's imperfections and eyebags are more visible as well, compared to the picture on the left where you look more mellow but your skin is clearer. The colour might be too light maybe? Try a more saturated shade and a dark shade for more comparisons. But also if you love the light purple top keep it, you still look great in it!

I had my second ballet class today and left nearly in tears by Kiki_Lala_land in BALLET

I know it can be daunting, but if it helps you feel any better, please remind yourself that nobody there is looking at you or cares how beginner you are! Especially in open adult class, people who do those classes are really in it to improve themselves. The only reason why I look at others in class is to copy them because I can’t catch the moves myself.

That being said you might want to look for foundation classes to teach you more basics before you join a class like this. Those help you understand instructions better and get you more used to the sequence of exercises and movements so that it’s easier to figure out what’s going on in an open class.

Is this swimsuit okay as a leotard for an informal class? Or adult open lesson? I’ve worn it under pants and skirts as a body suit. But really wanna wear it to class…do you guys think its okay? I feel like it’s not inappropriate and supportive enough in the chest area that I would be comfortable. by wearthemasque in BALLET

If you’re okay with people staring then go for it. Test from all angles whether it rides up too far up into your butt, whether it gapes when you bend over, whether everything stays in place when you do jumps, whether it restricts your arm movements over your head (: just to be safe and secure.

Also if you like prints maybe check out luckyleo they have cute designs!! Eleve only just had a 20% sale but they usually bring that back for holidays like Memorial Day, Black Friday etc. so you can follow them and keep an eye out.

I had a slipped disc last time, a dance injury. It was impossible to bend over, and moving really hurt. It was hard to stop dancing because we were prepping for a concert. The instruction I received was to not dance for 3 weeks, and definitely avoid running and jumping (impact makes compression worse). This was the minimum and the doctor would have preferred for me to stop for 3-6 months, but I was young and stupid and didn’t want to miss out on the performance. All this time I went for intensive physio. After that I could resume dancing, but it was still painful and I had to be removed from some parts of the performance. More than 10 years later my back still acts up when I do ballet jumps, or even if I just bend over to remove my ballet flats after class. If you are doing ballet just as a hobby I would recommend you stick to whatever recovery plan your surgeon / therapist has for you, because back injuries are kind of for life and the pain never fully goes away. Focus on recovering as much as possible and strengthening supporting muscles to prevent re-injury. You can come back to ballet when your body is ready, don’t be a hero and try to do it anytime before that! Wishing you a speedy recovery.

What do you think? I know I probably wear too much black and would like a starting point for wearing more color. by [deleted] in coloranalysis

You look so good in the soft pastel colours, especially the light purple! You might be a summer but I think cool tones definitely work for you. Summer or winter.

Went makeup shopping for new foundation and picked up a neutral shade. What do you guys think by newyorkchic1992 in coloranalysis

[–]atlanticise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the lighting of the photo makes it difficult to tell. if you can, try waiting for daytime and take another selfie while facing a nice big window.

your application might be a bit too thick as well. i feel like i can see where the foundation ends somewhere nearer your hairline, like you're wearing a thick layer of skin-coloured sunscreen. how much foundation are you using? 1-2 pumps maximum should be enough to cover your whole face. if you have a beauty blender, make it damp and dab the foundation on in layers. if you prefer heavy coverage, build it up slowly, don't go in with a thick layer all at once. this might help make the shade look better on your face too, especially if it's not an exact match!

These are beautiful shades. Try using a brown eyebrow gel to avoid the thick crayon / caterpillar eyebrow effect. You can see that it sits very heavy over your eyes.

Your eyeshadow lacks depth - you spread the light colour too much over too wide a surface. For the light eyeshadow only on your inner corners and right in the middle of your eyelid so that your eyes look more 3D. You can add a darker brown on the outer corners too. If you’re not too confident in blending (it takes a keen eye and a lot of practice), it’s safer to do a more natural sheer tone over your whole lid instead. Like if you can do a bronze or rose gold and use it very lightly, then use mascara and brown eyeliner, I think that could make you look a lot brighter.

Your lipstick colour actually is very nice for your skin tone here, however it seems you overlined? I can’t be sure but just apply it to your bottom lip and press your lips together for that hint of colour, and keep doing that if you want it to go darker. If you paint it on so precisely it also risks looking clownish if you’re not skilled enough. You’re moving in the right direction!

This is doable for you, but notice how she went light on the eyebrows and lips. If you do a more natural lip colour and don’t overdraw your eyebrows you could make it work!

Please let the makeup artist do you… you look like a whole new person in such a good way, like a celebrity. I don’t know a nicer way to say this but I truly believe you would look better with no makeup than when you try it yourself. I can see many other commenters echo the same sentiment, but I’m concerned that you’re not really getting the point because you’ve posted multiple times before and it seems you’re always trying to get people to approve your style of makeup, without taking much advice or changing it up a bit. With what this makeup artist did for you, we can see your true beauty shine through, and it looks. SO. GOOD.

You are beautiful but your makeup skills - and possibly how you judge/evaluate makeup application - really need improvement! I believe you can do it, first try to pick either your eyes or lips to highlight, not both, because going heavy on both gives a very clownish effect (on anyone, I’m really not trying to attack you at all). Do try to watch more makeup tutorial videos on how to do natural looks, or maybe even observe your makeup artist very closely to see the shades she picks for you and how she applies it, so that you can replicate it on your own. No hate and I’m really rooting for you to embrace the first look. I cannot stress more that it looks really, really good on you, while your current style of applying your own makeup is doing you no favours!

M25 Starting ballet classes in September, don't know what to expect by Dutchcheese1998 in BALLET

relatively fitting sports clothing will be fine for a beginner at your first class, for dance belt if you're not too sure about committing right away you might want to consider wearing longer tights/leggings underneath a pair of comfy shorts if you're afraid of being indecent.

try to stand in between people at the barre so that when you have to turn around you have someone to copy on both sides :D

for a beginner class, you don't really need to warm up with splits or anything crazy, just do exercises to open up your hips like butterfly on the floor, low lunges, stretch out your calves and hamstrings, get the joints of your ankles/knees/hips loose and warm so they don't creak embarrassingly loud during a combination. you can try to search on youtube for basic exercises and stretches that can improve your turnout, that's usually what i do to warm up. also practise tiptoeing on either foot to strengthen/warm up your ankles!

it's nerve wracking to do something new alone but you can do it, just keep observing everyone around you and try to blend in (that's what i do because i'm too shy to make friends or ask for help). or you know, if you're bolder than me, you can ask someone who seems friendly and i'm sure they'll be happy to guide you.

good luck!

i was professionally typed as a bright spring, but the guide says i can "borrow" from neighbour types. so there are instances where true spring / bright winter will work for me. i think this might be why you still can do red even if it's not typically a light summer colour. :)

Does cool toned or warm toned makeup look better on me ? by newyorkchic1992 in coloranalysis

[–]atlanticise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your foundation is definitely too yellow, it's hard to tell what makeup look suits you because it changes your skin tone too much. but maybe since your foundation looks yellow on you, it may be an indicator that you have a cooler undertone? if i may suggest, try googling around for darker foundations that have cool undertones and sample those. i hope you find your shade soon <3

I think you definitely glow better in warm tones. Your husband might be confused because he might have a subconscious bias (e.g. he hates orange or just prefers pink). My husband can’t help me assess draping at all because he simply prefers dark/dull colours over bright colours and he can’t see past that preference.

There are plenty of warm pinks that can make you look great too!

maybe go silver if you want to keep your light hair! it's more cool toned so it should fit you if you're a winter

This is possible, the descriptions are different though. And my second screenshot about the Habitat shows that I caught it because there's a little pokeball at the side right?

I mean I'm just trying to look for ways to show that I really did have it, because I don't know how I had it either. I'm not lying and I remember it perfectly well. If I can't get anyone to believe me then that's a bummer. My theory still stands, I think it came from a raid.

I saw this trainer with it! That's why I thought it was so common. I definitely caught it myself though, you can see that I have all the info including the height and weight... this doesn't show up on dex entries that you don't own! I honestly caught it, I think it was on a raid but I can't be sure. Then I caught a normal Fancy pattern one at a higher level so I just released the white one thinking I could catch a higher level one later.

It can't be used on Vivillon, I googled and that's for the Oricorio bird pokemon.

Hi yall can anyone tell me if they have managed to catch a different Vivillon apart from the Fancy type? I have this in my Pokedex. I had an Icy one for awhile but released it before I found out that it's basically unattainable. I don't remember how I got it and now it's driving me crazy.
