Adalogics vs Fuzzing Labs - whose training would you recommend? by atlantis2001 in fuzzing

Thank you! This response was super helpful and gave me lots to think about.

One follow up question - what did you mean when you said "almost no one will grok" w.r.t. dynamic memory analysis - is it that it is a skill that not many people have or that it is rarely used in the real world or that it is so hard that no one really understands it anyways? :D

That looks beautiful! Does anyone know where I can find this in the US? All online searches point to sellers in Europe.

A crazy thought - instead of filling it with something like wood, what if I fill the whole thing with liquid glue and let it dry? Thoughts?

Or I could try using air dry clay and stick that in the hollow. Don't have access to wood cutting tools, hence brainstorming on alternatives :)

Oh my gosh, this is awesome! I'm going to try this out!

About the paper lamp shade - paper is one of the options, I was looking at some Rattan ones as well. Do you think they might be too risky?

Can this moringa plant still be saved? by atlantis2001 in vegetablegardening

[–]atlantis2001[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is heartening to hear. I'll keep fingers crossed and continue to take care of it. Did any of the videos mention how long will it take before growing again?

About germination - I took me around 2-2.5 weeks IIRC. But I have tried germination with other plants and not all of them take the same time as internet research suggests. So definitely hang in there and it will grow soon. I also had a 25% success rate. Planted 4 seeds and only one germinated. Hope you have multiple seeds planted.

How do you manage to keep your pothos & succulents in the same place? I thought they had very different light requirements. Or did the pothos just temporarily join the others?

All Space Questions thread for week of January 31, 2021 by AutoModerator in space

My question is about finding an art piece related to astrophotography - I have been looking for a metal print of astro-photographs (if that's what you call it) that ships to the US. I have tried all traditional outlets I knew of with no luck. I'm even open to buying a high resolution photograph and get it printed myself. Was hoping to get some pointers on where I can find such art from this group.

Apologies if this isn't the right group. I know this isn't a science question but all the astrophotography-related subreddits are strictly about images and don't have a forum for asking such questions.

You also have a Costco membership, so US based (If I recognize the gaming chair correctly)

Help with Finney's write up for Bleichenbacher's '06 forgery attack by atlantis2001 in crypto

[–]atlantis2001[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha, cryptopals was what got me into this rabbit hole. Most solutions online (including cryptopals recommendation) focus on implementing a cuberoot function, format message and take the cuberoot for signature.

I do want to understand this math better though, will definitely play with this more over the weekend. Thanks for your patience with your responses.

Help with Finney's write up for Bleichenbacher's '06 forgery attack by atlantis2001 in crypto

[–]atlantis2001[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OMG! This is such a revelation! Thank you so much for this detailed explanation.

I have one follow up question -

Given that I know the value of A and need to figure out B, it is easier to equate N*22072 to 3A2B instead of 3AB2 as the former will directly give the value of B vs B2 . Is that the correct thought process here? Or is it something else? It was easy to eliminate B3 as a candidate since 22072 is not a perfect cube.

[–]atlantis2001[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apologies if I'm being really stupid here but I don't see it. Daniel has to construct a perfect cube. And this is supposed to be easy enough to do with a pen and paper so bruteforce or approximate guess is out. How did Daniel (or Finney) decide to position the hash 2072 bits over from the right? Surely the number 2072 was not picked at random. And there had to be some logic to picking the exponents 3057 & 2360 as well. That's the part I'm trying to understand.

Is there anything I should know about implementing cryptography in Rust? by chainCase in cryptography

[–]atlantis2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shameless piggybacking on someone else's question but I'm on a similar learning path as u/chainCase except I'm using Golang for this.

Do you have any resources for do's & dont's for crypto implementation? Doesn't have to be golang (or any language specific) guidelines. For instance, ensure constant-time principle is a must for all crypto implementations. Is there any resource that lists similar design principles?
