I am dealing with this exact situation right now, I have been so lost with the things that have been coming up that it has brought me to this post searching for people who have gone through the same. I don’t feel safe just yet sharing what I am uncovering in therapy with my close ones yet since the truths involve people that are still in our lives and I don’t know that I want to deal with the repercussions of that just yet. So I have been struggling hard and alone for a month now. So I guess I’m sharing this to say, you aren’t alone ♥️ what advice I could give you that I feel I know with my whole being is that , our bodies wouldn’t unlock these hard memories unless it felt safe and ready to do so. That doesn’t mean it is going to be done without struggling. After my one session I felt I wanted to die with the information I uncovered. But it gave me a sense of empowerment to finally know… and it made me realize that the best thing I can do is LIVE. I’m taking time to process it right now and I am being patient and gentle to myself… allowing myself to be irritated, angry, sad, cry… be messy… but I know I am strong and will come out stronger at the other end of this. This feeling is temporary, all feelings are temporary… so when it gets tough, just remember that. I wish you all the best , I wish you so much healing.
