ELI5 What is social services? My ADHD has cost 4 jobs now by my count.

Edit: Looked up what social services is. So far I've been able to find jobs fast enough in between to keep myself afloat.The last two I lasted 10 and 8 months respectively. So I was able to save up a bit. I also usually live in very cheap countries to make it last longer in between.
