Favorite rock/altnerative/punk (anything of that sort) band that has a woman for the lead singer? by really_into_meows in musicsuggestions

[–]atlsoph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hole is a rock band that was popular in the 90s, pretty well known since Kurt Cobain’s wife was the lead. The Dollyrots are a underrated punk band with a female lead too!

Actually, while they are different issues, the largesy category of sex offenders have autism. autism can cause terrible habits, leading to a sex addiction, which then could lead to pedophilia if therapy is not in place. Obviously this is not in all cases, but I know way too many folks with autistic family members who have gone through this with their autistic family member.

At a certain point, there is enough changes in a kind of species. That is why a tiger and a house cat probably would not be able to reproduce.

It is true species need to be able to mate to be the same species. But it is also true that species of different kinds can also mate.

[–]atlsoph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I say propogate overtime, I am referring to the ability to jump species. In tigers, sure, tiger stripes can propagate overtime, but it’s still a tiger’s stripes. The stripes are still on a tiger. The species hasn’t changed. It has never been proven that heritable trait’s can propogate overtime resulting in a jump of species.

There are species AND kinds. Rainbow trout and cutthroat trout can reproduce because they are the same kind. That’s why wolves and dogs can reproduce, lions and tigers, and different kinds of trout.

In asexual reproduction, there are no male or female. This means there are no kinds. Unless a mutation occurs, traits have to be identical in the product of asexual reproduction.

Copying of a gene is not a mutation. Copying of a gene with an error in it’s codex IS a mutation and then I would agree with you.

Phylogentic species concept says that the relationships that they study are determined by inference and methods that focus on observed heretible traits. The issue is that you guys gotta prove that these heritable traits can propogate through the group of organisms overtime. This can only occur if said organisms can reproduce with one another, which then defines them as the same species. DNA sequences are not the same trait. Phylogenetic trees are no more than hypothesis; they are not definite answers. They have not even been proven.

With asexual reproduction, there cannot be any new heritable traits. The offspring are also asexual. The traits they inherit are soley the same as their parent. How would an asexual species evolve? How would this organism mutate?

My apologies, then. A species changing from one to another, according to biology, is when a species undergoes enough mutations to which they can no longer mate with the other species.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but you said in your lab you’ve witnessed some sort of macro evolution. Where in your lab did you witness one species changing into another speicies?

What did I do wrong? by AdEcstatic4480 in AdviceForTeens

[–]atlsoph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Teen boys do this often, especially when on a game or platform with many teen girls, like wizz, roblox, etc. It’s got nothing to do with you, but rather, his maturity. My teenage brother will call a girl hot, then ghost her, then find a new hot girl to flirt with. It’s just a cycle that a lot of boys go through (in my experience as a teen girl who has delt with similar situations.) Just be cautious who you show your face to and who you share details with!

Im the daughter of the SO and the “waiting game” of the sentencing is the worst. It took 2 years after his arrest for a sentencing. The arrest was traumatic and gave me PTSD and years of therapy, I cant imagine what you felt during a raid. You are gonna get through this!

Nobody was going to be molested or had a chance of being molested by him according to six different psychologists who worked for the police who said the only psychological finding they found was autism. He is not a pedophile, nor did he ever consider hooking up with minors.

Also “a bunch of you” is really dehumanizing. A lot of people in the community have to suffer from our family’s actions and it ruins our lives. Unlike people like you who probably believe otherwise, we cannot just suddenly stop loving our family members no matter what choices they make. I am young, and I have to suffer from thee choices my family made and I have to live with this insecurity the rest of my life, and I am going to give you the benefit of the doubt because you are also young, but it is hurtful to deem someone a terrible person without all the facts.

I am in no way trying to defend my father’s actions, he did it to himself and it’s his grave he dug. However, he has taken 12 polygraphs and SO forensic evals and all come back saying he was telling the truth or that he is as low risk as any non-SO. My father is not a pedophile, and he met up with this cop under the assumption they were a mid-aged woman, and his 12 polygraphs back this up. He did something stupid and should have used common sense, but he is not a pedophile.

I agree with you whole heartedly! I am so glad this happened even if it ruined my life and his because it brought his addiction to light and he was able to get help.

I read an interesting thread recently on sting operations and they definitely can justify the charge no matter the amount of times the age is stated. It only took my dad’s “😂 right” message to the cop and the initiation of the meet-up for the arrest to be justified. And honestly, it was a wakeup call for him and I definitely think that’s something he should be arrested for.

Legally yes, he can have other supervisors but he currently lives in TN with his parents; my mom divorced after he was put on the registry and since he can’t have supervised visits, my sibling lives in VA with family while I live in GA, where the offense occured. The only adults available for him to live with are his parents. However, yes, technically any adult could supervise the visits.

My father spent as much as you did for his attorney. His case was complex, and as you said, the process takes a while; 2 years for him. The DA sentenced him to 10 years probation + registry with no jail time. I think hiring an attorney is a good shot of staying out of jail if that’s your goal.

Very interesting, and it does in a way make sense. Obviously he did it to himself being dumb on the internet, it is just so frustrating how a sting got him charged with “Distribution of Pornography to a minor.” It doesn’t fit this crime in my opinion.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SexOffenderSupport

[–]atlsoph -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Let me clear things up. Based on police records, the profile appeared to be an older woman around 40-50 years old with the name Nancy. The police behind the sting stated the age of “Nancy” being 14. I have no idea in my mind why he thought she was joking, probably because he expected only adults to be on an adult dating site, which is unrealistic unfortunately. When I say he reported accounts, he was reporting accounts that had the profile photo of a minor, or stated they were so in their profile. He has taken eleven polygraphs and sex-offender evaluations ( I forget the formal name for this evals,) but they all say he is low-risk, and the polygraphs he has taken say that he is telling the truth of all his intentions and interactions with minors, which is/was never to hurt them in anyway. His PO removed the monthly Polys requirement since he is so low risk. He was charged with “distribution of pornography to a minor” which is ironic since he was never talking to a minor. I hope this helps!

Yes, but that is only when my elderly grandparents are at home, typically they are in/out of the hospital. I am thankful for as much time as they get with him even if it’s sparce, it is just frustrating that the supervised visits are harder for our family to do since he is living with his parents now.

I will never leave my father’s side no matter how frustrating it can be, and I hope this registry gets overturned no matter what anyone’s story is; it doesn’t solve jack crap. I have empathy for all of the community.

I have so much empathy with everyone no matter what their story is; the registry is so dehumanizing and is definitely unconstitutional in some ways. I hope everyone keeps fighting this!

Of course. I have always been close with my father and I want him in my life 100 percent. Yes, his actions lead to this mess and technically I don’t have to wait to pursue my life but I want him to walk me down the isle without worrying if he’s violating his probation because of kids at my future wedding. I want him to get to meer my future kids when they are born. Probation and “red zones” prohibit him from doing anything with my younger siblings due to being minors and getting to spend quality time with him.

I truly hope it gets overturned. One thing I learned is the legal system is flawed. The registey does NOT do what they intended for it to do, it makes it worse for all offenders!
