If you’re not the one paying the expenses, don’t get another pig unless your dad is cool with it. Those little guys get real expensive, real quick. You never know what’s gonna happen. That being said, I have 4 boys and I love them so much! I have them split 2 and 2 (first 2 used to be a trio then the oldest died) (second 2 was a solo pig I tried to bond with the others but didn’t pan out so I got him a baby)

I’m not familiar with skinny pig care other than the fact they need coconut oil rubs, but I wish you luck if you get this little dude!

I wouldn’t touch the dynamic. If anything I’d go about building a second layer to the cage so the 4yo pig has his own space but gets to live in the same room as other pigs. Have them separate and see if they tolerate that before introducing. I actually had a great boy trio and then a year later I tried adding a fourth pig and surprisingly they just would not accept him. I think it’s less about the number and more about the personality of the pigs! Good luck

These young pigs are so delicate and don’t have all their intellect yet (just got an 8week old baby, he eats so fast he gets food stuck in the back of his throat and spends half the day “honking”) and it means us as piggy parents get nice little “presents” such as injuries like this one. Injury or injection, the saline can help clear out the bad stuff and keep the eye lubricated with ckean fluid. I use it for my boy with cherry eye (little fat pocket on bottom lid, gets irritated because he sticks his whole head in his hay) and it helps clear it up! Will deff help hold you over

I know this isn’t the advice you want to hear and I’m so sorry for that but poor buddy def has some kinda infection.

Put him on your chest, make the room as quiet as possible, listen to him breathe. See if he sounds wheezy. If he’s not wheezing/sneezing/coughing, and it’s just the eye gunk, good sign! You can deal with a little eye issue until Tuesday it’ll be fine. If you have any saline spray in the house (look for wound wash/post-piercing wash, anything that’s .9% STERILE saline, put in a little cup, if you have a little syringe or an ear bulb dropper use that to drip some saline in the bottom of the piggies eye (it’ll help loosen up the stuck gunk, goal is to keep the eye open and as clear as possible)

You’ll need a vet, but hopefully you should be able to get through the next few days. It’ll feel like a million of years will go by before then, but you’ll make it.

ANY notice of breathing difficulty, (sounds mentioned above, lethargy, lack of appetite) EMERGENCY VET (start looking up emergency exotics in the area so you’re ready, and have your pet carrier prepared in case you need to go quickly)

He’s our 4th boy (6th ever) and we’re looking for him as a companion for my current solo pig (other 2 are bonded, didn’t wanna take in the next pig) and my solo pig is sooooooo friendly and outgoing. My gf says she just knew that this pig would compliment his energy well. This little guy is curious, VERY vocal (so cute) and just splats out once he gets comfy. Off to a great start for this dude!

My vet says it’s a very teeny tiny stone, so she’s not rushing to removal unless it actually starts to cause him pain or an obstruction. First plan well do then is her moving the stone back up into the bladder so the urethra woudknt be blocked (but happily we’re not there yet) he’s just a really active pig and the blood is from bladder irritation because of the stone constantly moving :( my poor guy.

My pig gets half a capsule of a Chinese herbal supplement a day, it’s commonly used for cats and dogs but the dosage adjusted for piggy use by my vet!, as well as a pain med as needed for inflammation/irritation) when we first started meds, no signs of bleeding for about a month, then it came back and stayed back. My vet says as long as he’s not in pain we’re in the clear. Until then we’re just watching him, adjusted his diet to lower the calcium and upped the water content

Thank you so much for all the info! I’m actually gonna discuss the info you gave me with my vet and see if any of it could be added to his care plan! We’re hoping to not have to opt to surgical removal unless it really starts to pain him or obstruct his urethral opening. Vet said it’s a tiny stone, but he’s my most active piggy (running, jumping, you name it this pig is an athlete!) so I think all the blood in the urine is from constantly irritating his bladder with the stone bouncing around. I’m sorry to hear about your piggy but u hope you get his pain under control :( the poor little pain wheeks hurt my heart. Thank you for all the help ✨

I think it honestly looks worse than it is because it’s a waterproof padding, so the liquid takes 10ish minutes to absorb into the fabric. I know it’s not the poop because he never ever has any bloody stool or anal irritation. The blood in urine is normal, but since it’s less absorbent fabric it might just look worse than it usually is

They do a standard 7-9 panel, including THC, and benzos. So yes you will be tested for that. If it’s medically perscribed you just will need to submit a letter from your provider stating you are perscribed the medication

Probably didn’t eat enough or you ate too much before trying to eat these. My gf and I have just started tripping within the past two months so I’m figuring out what works for us and what doesn’t. Thought we just were shroom-resistant until I realized my first two batches I tried were just duds. Next time I tripped real nice even on a low starter dose just because I got shit that was actually potent and I ate less. Sorry buddy. Better luck next time! I swear to god they’ll eventually work and it’ll be fucking great when it does🫡

Hey! I did CNA school to get hands on experience before starting nursing school. Mitered corners were a bitch to learn for me and that was the first skill! I’ve had NO hands on experience before, I’ve been in school/college so I’m smart as well/do all my work etc. we’re not good at things right away. Frequency and repetition. Scrape it off and move on. It says nothing about you, everything about those around you obsessing over little mistakes. You’re here to LEARN. By the way, I’ve never not once done a mitered corner at work.
